I think that has to be the focus moving forward. Build this d line through the draft and maybe snag one in free agency. We really have a nice young core coming together. This offense is very young.

It won't matter now because great DE's go in the top 20 picks and we won't be picking that high for years to come. We will have to buy our DE from an overpriced FA market. Maybe Gregory will get his life together and turn into something but, the verdict
is definitely in the jury room at this point.

Our secondary is playing well. Much has been made of Mo but Brown was the steal of the draft for us in 6th round and Byron saved a TD playing like another CB back there.

Any kind of pass rush and we might have a top10 defense .

Amazingly we are ranked 16 without a pass rush .

I am surprised cause he had an impact against Bengals. He didn't have a sack but his presence was felt as we had 4 team sacks and definitely our best pass rush of the year. But I don't even recall him in the game yesterday .

I was not too concerned about sacks yesterday in that Rodgers thrives more out of the pocket than in the pocket. Obviously the idea was to try to keep or contain him in the pocket and not letting him loose to run or throw where he is deadly. Yes it was frustrating to see him hanging back with all that time but as you could see, he got frustrated with no one open.

He hasn't played since last year. It will take him a few games to get going. But it's hard to really have a big impact by yourself. He's just one person. Now yes, you hope that one person can do a little more than he did yesterday but I think he will improve. If you think about it, he has missed a ton of games so far in his career with injury and suspension. We really need one guy opposite of him who can make an impact. We thought it would be Gregory but sadly, it's not going to be. At least not this year.

The margin for error increases significantly if our defense improves substantially in the pass rush area.
