Nobody is picking us to WIN!!!!!

The Giants impressed me because of the way they managed to get into FG position 3 times to win their game. That the kicker missed each time is not good news for them, but their offense did its job late in the game and OT. Our offense sputtered and ultimately died last week. I'd give them the edge, if i were nonbiased.

Manning hasn't been a good mid-game passer but he is the second best 4th Quarter QB in the league this year (behind only his brother). Considering we have a hard time defending the last 5 minutes of a game, that has to make anyone thinking low scorring game worry for the Cowboys.

Futher, without Flozell our line is simply not as good. We haven't been able to establish the run and the Giants have a good run defense.

Add all of that together, along with the 3 point home field advantage, and I can see why people are picking the Giants.

I, for one, hope we turn a corner with our running game and finally start to establish something before our playoff run.

The issues with our OL and running game make everyone doubters this week. These weaknesses are often worse on the road. The doubters include the guys on NFL Network as well and they are not Cowboys haters.

All of that being said, I think we can and will win this game. This is a big one, and our guys need to step up.

Tiki Barber is a man. That run in overtime to set up a potential winning FG was awesome. We can only hope that he might be a bit fatigued from that game and won't be able to bring as much in the 4th quarter (at which point we'll hopefully still be in the game) Sunday.

It's funny how every week is supposed to be JJ's "breakout game". I hope it is but I won't hold my breath.

We wil win because I hate the giants always have even when BP was their coach, they're arrogant, cocky, stuck up guys from the North and Michael Strahan has the ugliest smile that I have ever seen. Anybody remember Monday night where we beat them in NY. We can beat anybody on the road. Everybody said that Denver was going to kick us, we had them man, if our #$$#%# kicker would do his job we are going to the Superbowl, if he misses another one we give him to Tony Soprano to take to the "farm"......I am so sick of crappy kicking I can tolerate a lot of things but we played good enough on the road to win several games give or take field goal. Missed field goals will not be tolerated..

Yup, they called out both Julius Jones and the O-Line on ESPN...I would love for JJ to bust thorugh with a 150+ yard day nd route the Giants

Typical. The O-line has injuries and two inexperienced players starting; and they only gave up one sack, yet Bledsoe throws two picks with no pressure on him and gives the Denver D a touchdown which was the 'real' difference in the game, not a missed fieldgoal. As for Julius, he can't run thru a brick wall.

I love when we prove that fat ******* Lincoln Kennedy wrong. Ohh I hate him.

Just because he doesn't have pressure on the plays where he threw the picks doesn't mean the line wasn't ultimately at least partially responsible. Our line wasn't doing well protecting on long drops, which lead us to use the quick pass plays. These will work for a while, but eventually the defense starts to jump the routes, which lead to the interception on the sideline.

YOu can't just stop running those routes, because you have to call something. We didn't have anything else that was working much better, and Payton was trying to set up the CB for a long pass later.

The Giants aren't that good to me and Manning hasn't been playing all that great.

True. Bledsoe is rated 10 points higher but everyone wants to point out the handful of bad plays he made over 11 games. Eli has had some horrible throws - he had several that should have been picked off last week. I think our big advantage Sunday is Drew vs. Eli in terms of experience.

Right away the Bias detector goes off. The 2nd pick was not only a great defensive play, but Denver went 3 and out on the ensuing drive

That was the first score of the game. On the next drive Drew was 5 for 5 for 45 yards and a TD. Even with the pick, a 5 for 6 1 TD/1 INT streak is a 94 rating - which was his season rating at the time. He's not perfect. All QBs throw picks, especially when they throw a season high number of attempts

So you blame the O-Line for not opening holes, but Drew had lots of time on the 2 picks, so he must have had lots of time every play. Readers should not take a word you write seriously.

The team that takes care of the ball is probably going to win it. We are simular in pretty much all facits of the game. Both ball control teams. Both defensive oriented. Both coaches play field position football. NY has a bit better offense then we do. There ranked 3rd inthe NFC (357.5) and we are 7th (333.6). They are 4th in the NFC (128.3) and we are 7th (115.5). They are 6th in the NFC for passing offense (229.3) and we are 7th (218.1). Scoring offense, which I believe is the true indicator, breaks out like this. GMen are #1 in the NFC at 27.5 per. We are 6th in the NFC at 22.1. Regardless of how you see the QBs, I think it's safe to say that NY, to this point, has played better offensively then we have.

Defensively, that's another story. Currently, we are ranked 4th overall in the NFC. We are averaging 285.4 per game vs the Gmen at 11th in the NFC at 330.0 per. NY is strong against the rush because of there DLine play IMO. They are 3rd in the NFC at 93.7 vs us at 5th and 99.5. There problem is against the pass. There horrible at 14th in the NFC, giving up 236.3 per game vs us at 5th in the NFC at 185.8. As in offense, the true indicator (IMO) is scoring. GMen are 6th in the NFC in scoring defense with 18.9 per contest and we are 2nd with 17.1.

Having said all of this, the kicker is how NY stacks up at home vs on the road. That team is like night and day. The GMen are 1-3 on the road, beating only San Francisco. They are 6-1 at home. There only loss was to the Vikes. They average 31.5 points at home and give up 16.7. Almost 4 points a contest better offensively and 22.75 or 3.85 more points allowed defensively. In contracts, we are 4-2 at home and 3-2 on the road. We average 22.8 points at home (season average 22.1) and give up 13.5 (season average is 17.1), so there is about a 3.5 point swing there. On the road we're scoring 21.2 (22.1 is the season average) and giving up 21.4 (season average is 17.1) so there is a difference of a little over 4 points here. I don't see the drastic difference in our play at home vs on the road that I see with NY. They are definatly a different team in the Meadowlands.

Didnt the offense provide 3 touchdowns and 1 missed field goal opportunity against the #2 team in football? I think the offense played better than the Giants..they made far more mistakes than ours did.
