Houston claims 45-35 upset over OSU
September 12, 2009 7:07 PM

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Houston took advantage of four Oklahoma State turnovers to claim a 45-35 upset victory over the No. 5 Cowboys.

I'm headed down to the locker room to get comments from both locker rooms from what has been a wild game at Boone Pickens Stadium.

What a game it was!
It was a great game. One I just happen to catch on TV, too.

Big plays, big mess ups, then more big plays..

Coogs earned this win.

No doubt, they definitely earned that win! Very exciting game. If UH had a defense to match that offense, that would be a sight to see.

I went to the Armed Forces Bowl last year, I like what the new coach is doing. I hope they keep it up.

The Longhorn's strength of schedule just took one hell of a blow, not that they look like their going undefeated right now but that hurt.

I do, too. I think he's gonna need a couple more years to get the defense tightened up....and special teams too.

Seemed like OKst's starting field position around the 40 after each kick. Either their returner was just that good or our guys were just that bad.

Gonna be an exciting season. I'm glad I got my new student card. Gonna try to sneak into a couple games for free. Yes, I am that cheap.:

Maybe they should schedule UH next year. :)

Oddly enough, they showed that game in my area and I was flipping between it and the Michigan/ND game.

Both were great games and I am happy the underdogs won both.

Houston looks like a fun team to watch and actually reminds me of Marshall when Marshall was good.

Great game by the Houston team, congrats to their fans, they deserved that win.

The Longhorns would not have beaten UH today.

unlike OSU, UT plays defense.....plus since it was a road game for UH....it would have been in Austin. Horns by at least 2 TDs

I'd like to think so, but realistic fan in me says otherwise. They'd give them a good game for sure.

UT may have a defense, but UH has had a pretty explosive offense for awhile. It's THEIR defense that would've made the difference. UH defense is like a sieve and has been since after Briles took it over.

Sumlin's actually recruited players for the defense and attempts to coach it whereas Briles completely ignored it.

In the last 10 years, UT has one of the top 3 home records in college football, behind Boise St. and OU. Now of course, OU and UT are aided by the fact that their game is on a neutral field and so basically a road game for both....so neither team can get a home loss.

In Austin, the Coogs don't stand a chance....but in H-town, they could give the Horns a mighty good scare.

Houston has played alot of good teams on the road. Their history suggests that in Austin, UH might play them tight for the first half and maybe part of the third before collapsing.

You also have to remember, that offense that Houston runs.........they see something like that against OU, Mizzou, Kansas, and Texas Tech year in and year out.

It is my humble opinion that Navy would give UT more fits than Houston.....cause of the triple option and how rare it is to see it anymore.

Nice. I'm considering going to the Texas Tech game.

There's likely to be 100+ pass attempts. It's an 8:15 kickoff, so I wouldn't count on getting out of there before midnight.

Ha! Due to my perpetual student status, I've still got an active student ID card.

May try to find a hideaway spot on campus to park and go.
