Nationwide Insurance, hands down #1 here.

Everything they do is annoying, trying to jam that commercial jingle into earworm status.

Thank God for that mute button.

those recycling commercials where the shampoo bottle is dreaming of a 2nd shot at life are out of control. They play 3-4 times in a row and 5 times an hour. I know they're for a good cause and all but they are relentless. Not sure if they're nationally run or just in my region but they drive me crazy.

Close 2nd in the My Pillow commercials..

Literally all of them. A few of the mayhem guy commercials Are funny and 2 slim Jim commercials are good. Literally every angle you can think of has been beaten to death. Flo the insurance lady needs to be hanged, and she makes like $500,000 a year for those unfunny commercials.

yea that "you got your moms side" Nationwide commercial is currently the only commercial I mute everytime.......Im just glad all the xmas crud is finally over, minus a few here and there, like those pesky few houses that still have Xmas lights and displays lol...... the old guy taking a high dive commercial I actually liked at first, but is gettin hella annoying, I usually just turn that one down though, not mute status yet haha.....

It's very uncomfortable to watch Viagra commercials with my daughter in the room.
It's uncomfortable to watch them just because they're cheesy. I'm a 61 year old woman with no small children and I throw up a little in my mouth every time I see that woman writhing around on the bed bragging that her man knows what to pack.

Most of the ones you've mentioned pale in comparison to the local adds in my area.... particularly the ones where the owner parades some child out on screen to say something cute in their young voice in an attempt to win my heart. Yep, that 3 year old is really gonna get me to go down and buy your cheap-*** furniture or better yet, I'll spend $35k on one of your cars because your grandkid told me I should!

That, or the lawyers.... the lawyers.....don't get me started.

Being in marketing I pay attention to commercials.

Most commercials fail to do what they're suppose to– sell.

They approach it from the standpoint "OK, if our commercial is entertaining then it will cause people to search out our products."

Which of course doesn't work in most instances.

On top of that most commercials aren't entertaining– so they fail on two fronts.

Personally I like the "Flo" commercials. I think they entertain and get the message across.

The "mayhem" commercials are entertaining but I don't think they're as effective in selling the product.

That's the challenge. The "Energizer Bunny" commercials were entertaining but within a couple minutes many folks thought the commercials were for Duracell.

The famous "Where's the Beef" commercials didn't move the needle for Wendy's.

Another group of commercials I like? Sonic's. They're entertaining and they sell the product.

Here are a couple older commercials I like:

A golden oldie from 1982

Those Chevy commercials are so cringe worthy that I have to change the channel.
