Can anybody recommend any non dallas cowboy books to read? More fiction than non (but could do on high enough recommendation).

After 15 years I forgot just how boring school is :D!

p.s. ben (and everyone else), thanks for the guitar links, starting lessons the first week of february... I also forgot how expensive having a life is...

It depends... what do you like to read?

Fiction (subject)... general non-fiction... bio's... autobio's... etc...

Whatever really, just looking for recommendations, but not too interested in real life stuff. Text books are about enough of real life... I thought about picking up a copy of Da Vinci code, but wanted to see if anybody here had any suggestions first.

Something loose I can lose myself in before bed to get all the learnin' out, Sci-Fi or Fantasy is probably going to get a first look.

I've read most of Stephen King's books, all of Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman, some Anne McAffrey, Robert Jordan, Crichton (both), Clancy, a bunch of off the wall writers I can't remember...

Just about anything would work as long as it meets the second paragraph criteria...

try some Patrick F McManus books...he is an outdoor humorist...some of the funniest stuff I have ever read..

If you want a book that reads like fiction but isn't, try "Seabiscuit"...great great story...and it reads like Hollywood...

Some of the classics are great too....Like Steinbeck...

And a guy who's writing style is great is Rick Bragg...try "All over but the Shoutin"
