Tyler Guyton is the key to the entire season

Guyton isn’t as important as you think. Mazi contributing is more important. Asim Richards or moving Tyler Smith to LT would work fine. But the depth at DT is questionable at best.
Richards going down last season was a bummer, wanted to see what he could do as the LT.

This line is constructed in a way that allows the coaching staff to move players around and fill voids if they present themselves. While I agree that improved play from the young LT is the best scenario, it isn't the end pf the season if he falls flat. I think the key to a playoff run is a combination of a strong rebound from Dak, and improvement from the front 7 in stopping the run.

Guyton’s development is important heading into year two but he’s far from key to our entire season. The biggest key to the season will be Dak staying healthy and being able to bounce back with a strong season. We currently have nothing behind him.

The Cowboys had a good offseason. Strong draft and now Pickens. The biggest X factor for the Cowboys is Guyton. He had a subpar rookie year and his level of play is unacceptable for a starting LT. He needs to make a major leap forward for the Cowboys to truly have a chance this year. Hopefully Klayton Adams + the Cowboys strength and conditioning staff can help Guyton elevate his performance.
I would say Guyton and Mazi. If those 2 are good this team will be very competitive.

Ditto, the key is offensive line coach and klayton Adams, and off-season strength coach, do you remember Erik Williams who struggled his first year in 91, but blossomed in 92, give Guyton a chance, also other key is Steele who must get stronger in the off-season. I think by the end of the year we will have a dominant offensive line just as good as the eagles or better

Important I agree. Key to the entire season is abit of a reach. Dak is probably # 1. Health and coaching and the running game could all be tied for # 2

Boom! You nailed it. Guyton now is the key to the season. Obviously barring catastrophic injuries Guyton making a 2nd year jump is the X factor. If he sucks we will be okay. If he’s good to great our offense will be difficult to contain.

If defenses play down to stop the run Pickens can take the top off. If defenses play back to contain Lamb and Pickens then we can nickel and dime them through the running game. Either way the middle of the offensive line is solid and Guyton is the key.

He is at least 3rd on the list after the coaching staff and the quarterback.

I could be talked into saying stopping the run is more important too.
Good points. Dak has to play better than he played in the 8 games he played in. Tyler has to be better too. I think it’s more appropriate to say Dak and Guyton are the keys to the offense.

The keys to the season would be the combo of the 4 things, coaching, run defense, Dak and Guyton.

I do think if Guyton takes a step Dak will play better than he did last prior to injury. Or Dak is washed, but I’m not ready to go there yet. I’m hoping that Dak was playing with an unreported or undiagnosed injury in the 8 games he played and will be back to 2023 form. If Guyton steps up and Dak goes back to 2023, this offense is incredibly balanced. This is pretty exciting.

Call me crazy, but I still have faith in Guyton and think he will improve quite a bit.
Don't know much about Guyton, but these high drafts picks need to produce and not just collect a paycheck. Hope you're crazy good.

While we're at it, you got any crazy perception on Mazi, another high draft pick and No.1 like Guyton.

Would be nice if those 2 live up to their billing.

Tyler and a 7th round NT.

Dallas could put Smith at LT and cut Guyton and it might improve the team. They have depth at G so we really wouldn't notice.

Guyton is soooooo far down the list as "key" players I don't know what to say.
