Sturm posted an article on The Athletic that showed of our 27 draft pics the last 3 years, only 8 were pre draft visitors. Of those 8, only Prescott and Woods were picked on day three. So recent trends suggest that we could see a majority of our picks be players that haven't made an official visit.
Here are a few candidates I see based on interst shown and fit.
Daylon Mack, DT, Texas A&M- We met with him and the EW Shrine game. Looks like he will be a mid rounder. Big DT that is able to fire off the snap. The talent and value could line up here if he lasts into the middle of day day 3
Josh Oliver, TE, San Jose State- We had a private workout with him recently. Very talent TE. Looked at as a mid round prospect but I think he is much than that. I think he is just as good a prospect as the guys we brought in. The guys we brought might not be worth the 58th pick, and might not be there at 90. Or there may be better value at 90. Oliver could still be there when our comp 4th comes up, and I could see him possibly being at the top of their board at that point.
Penny Hart WR, Georgia State- We showed interest in him very early in the proccess. Pure slot WR that can also return kicks. Likely a late rounder
Isaiah Johnson, CB, Houston- Maybe I missed it but I don't see him as a 30 anywhere. However we have shown alot of interest in him. He fits the mild of a Richard CB to a T and with Jones and Brown FA's in 2020, a CB makes sense. Looked at as a day 2 pick
