Back from the Sunny beach and vaca!

Combine proved out a few things big.

1) Gabe Watson and Ngata are the class of 3-4 NT and will be heavily persued in first round. Watson put up 36 reps and has cemented a high draft grade - Dallas has talked to him extensively in offseason and Glover castration a sign of our intentions at NT.

2) BPA - looking very good for us. Two groups that really showed depth and options for us.

TE - Pope/davis showed what I was preaching - Both top 20 studs. Davis at near 6-4 255 runs a 4.37 and is a total beast. Pope at 6-8 runs a 4.62 and is Coates 2! These are guys that can run and CATCH the ball too. Major options for Bledsoe's missiles in 2006. WR/TE's are future of the league there. There are also a bevy of TE's that can be had later in draft that can really play and be upgrades over our scrub TE depth (sux).

S - We had a plethora of great combine showings. Allen proved at 4.42 he's healthy. Huff ran himself $ in 4.3's. Ko Simpson/Bullocks/Watkins/Harper/Smith Are quality depth picks.

3-4 guys On my chart -

Mark Anderson - 4-3 pass rush specialist (nickel) Guy owned Dabick Ferg and is an advanced pass rush specialist with all the tools - 2nd to 3rd round grade

Lawson is the flavor of the day with Carpenter. Best impact day 1 player out there though is Keyaron Wimbley. Dallas all over this kid and don't be suprised if we go make something happen draft day with this kid.

QB - Whitehurst, Croyle are on radar. Something is up at QB this draft. Romo or HENSON will not be back - JMO Sleeper QB is going to be - Inge Martin from Furman;)

Guys that ARE WAY OVERRATED -

Hagan - dude looks like he's drinking out there. Worse hands than Quincy Morgan.

Kiwi - the major slide continues

Parham - LB runs a 5.11 AND OFF INTO SUNSET with Everage.

Mercedez benz Lewis - PASS 10 TE - Fraud at 4.8 see Teyo Johnson for fraud Pass 10 TE's.

Trueblood - Tackle draft stock in free fall

Hawk - settling down to top 15 player. 4.6 speed and so so strength exposed. Nice player but only 6-1 OLB - Not a top 5 - never was

Greenway - Dude should have hid and not gone to Combine.

Nicholson, Slow, stoned, pillaging and stupid is no way to go through life,:

Thats it for now! Top 500 to follow

I was wondering where you were, welcome back. I agree with Watson, I would not mind at all if we traded down a tad and picked him up. I also really really want Jason Allen, I have him at 4.39. I like Stanley McClover at 6'4 260 running a 4.56 40.(wouldn't be mad at Mark Anderson pick)

Anything on this kid Jeff Webb who ran a 4.37 and had really good stats last year?

Any feel on Tackles or Guards Nors from what you saw and heard from the combine?

My preference at NT would be Ma'ake Kemoeatu. He's huge and strong as ten oxes. Ngata will be long gone at #18 and Watson has too much history of laziness and ridiculous underachievement for my taste.

That said, trading down is the only option that makes sense to me at #18. If we can find a partner at the end of the first/beginning of the second, we'd likely be looking at Lawson, Carpenter or Wimbley and have added another three. Lots of good value at FS and OL in the second and third.

Imagine:
1. Kamerion Wimbley (OLB)
2. Andrew Whitworth (OT)
3. Jason Allen (FS)
3. Todd Watkins (WR)

This Watson Man-Love thing reminds me of Jimmy Kennedy. He was all that and where is he now? He had the same m.o. as Watson, underachiever.

Watson's arrow is heading South like his belly. The Bust potential is extremely high on this one.

You have a VERY good draft board. I like everything on it. Nice work.

VA...I love that draft. I think it's pretty realistic too. It's possible we move down a few spots in the first and still get Wimbley.

If we had that draft and landed Kemo DT from Balt...added a nice mid-range vet OT as insurance (yes we need insurance here), i'd be really happy going into next year.

Defense:
Canty/Coleman
Fergi/Kemo
Spears/Ratliff/Ellis (this is a big ?? mark...trade bait?)
Ware/Thornton
James/Fowler
Burnett/Shanle
Wimbley/Singelton/Fujita/???
FS Allen
SS Roy
CB Henry
CB Newman

Offense:
~ Adding young WR with potential in Watkins...watched this kid several times at BYU...great hands/great burst/fights for yards.
~ Adding Vet OT and athletic Whitworth who has the ability to be both LT or RT in the NFL/then evaluating Rogers and Columbo...i'd feel good going into TC with this group.

NEED:
TE...especially blocking TE. I think we'd still need to find a good TE in FA to step right in and fill a void from Campbell.

Lower rounds keep looking for OG's, CB's, and WR's....
