FLORENCE — Daron Rose is not near the man he used to be, and he’s proud of it.
North Alabama’s senior offensive tackle has a much different look this season. After weighing in at 330 pounds in 2010, Rose checked into training camp at a svelte 298 pounds on his massive 6-foot-5 frame.
“I feel like a new man,” Rose said. “I would like to play the season at around 305, and so far I’ve been able to maintain my weight in camp. I know I feel a lot quicker out there this year.”
