Don't get all worked up guys, it's a committee logo, not a Superbowl logo, but I agree it is very ugly. The NFL would not approve something that ugly for a SB.

...must not have a very good budget then. You couldn't get out of design school with that result.

There are some very strong icons for Texas, the Cowboys, the NFL along with colour associations. None are reflected well in this logo.
