Andre Harris Draft Journal Entry- Week 1

JOURNAL 1- DECEMBER 19, 2010
Unfortunately we were not in playoff contention this season but we did finish with a big win over Portland State in the final game of the season. It was fun to have a big game and score the game winning TD in an effort to proudly end my college career. We had a very talented team this season and had high expectations.
I started out the season very strong but some key injuries to my OL effected my production level throughout the season. Even though the season didn't go as well as I wanted, I led the team in rushing and scoring. I am going to use the difficult season as motivation to train extremely hard. I am ready to be back to Los Angeles with my family and start working towards my ultimate goal of playing on Sundays. I am currently a semester and an internship away from graduating with a degree in Human Services.
Selecting an agent was a difficult process. My father and I interviewed several agents before deciding on Bryan Cimicata from Sports Management World Wide and I am pretty confident that I have chosen the right guy.
My agent arranged it so that when I get home I will be training at STARS with owner and former Super Bowl Champion Jason David as well as Olympic Gold Medalists sprinter Shawn Crawford. I am very excited to train with such world-class athletes. Jason played 6 years in the NFL and knows what it takes to impress NFL scouts. Shawn represented the USA in the 2004 Olympics where he won a Gold in the 200 and a Silver in the 4x100 relay then in 2008 he won the Silver in the 200. With a speed coach like Shawn, there is no doubt that I will run a blazing forty!
