Norv never had any say in Washington or Oakland...I dont think Wade had much say in Denver but may have had more input in Buffalo...

I think our good ole buddy Jerry will be clobbering the draft or getting clobbered in the draft, supposedly with the help of Ireland.

Umm he did and he was the one who hand picked Heath Shuler and crowned him the next Troy Aikman before Heath even took a snap. Norv is an idiot.

Was norv the one that drafted Stephen Davis? If this is a stupid question forgive me I only started really watching football when we got Rocket Ismail in Micheal Irvins last year as a cowboy. That was the year Norv took the Deadskins to the playoffs but lost to the Bucs in he second round...They had a pretty good team that year but we still bea them twice, once in the opener. That is the game that made me a cowboys fan.

No need to worry about their ability to draft. Jerry is in complete charge of the war room so expect a Quincy Carter/Tony Dixon type draft.

On a scale of 435 to 694, Phillips gets a 547 on drafting and Turner a 519.

The methodology of my study should not be questioned.

Yeah Norv drafted Stephen Davis. But that is his only good draft pick ever. Look at some of his other offensive draft choices:

Heather Shuler - greatest QB bust of all time behind Ryan Leaf
Michael Westbrook - another top 10 draft pick bust.
Andre Johnson - the biggest bust in Left Tackle history

And yes Norv did have all the input in the world as the Commanders HC. Snyder was not in charge of the team until 1999. JKC gave Norv the choice to hand pick all of his players, he just sucked big time in talent evaluation.

The draft room now is back in the hands of JJ. Doesn't matter who the coach is. Not one of these candidates will have that much control.

Candidates will have complete and total control over drafting. Jerry Jones will sit in a corner and not have any input. He will also be wearing a pink tutu during the draft.

Honestly, there's equal support for both claims.

The scary part is who do we want picking? Norv? Notta. Wade? Nope.
Gibbs? No thnx. JJ? give me a rope with a loop on the end first.
Ireland is the best bet, JJ needs to listen.

Exactly. Mistakes and successes were made by everyone. The draft is inexact science at it's best.

Parcells taught Ireland a lot when he was here and gained a trust for him and I believe he respects Irelands opinions. Hopefully Jerry will do the same.

Jeff Ireland is going to become a hot commodity eventually and I just hope when that time comes Jerry pays him big because someone will name him their GM and we could lose him.
