Not surprising for an OC or any other coach to say nice things about their rookie QB.

And, sorry to hijack. I like Bridgewater, too. Though I'd give him 8 weeks on the bench to start the season. Playing time late in games.

Bridgewater went into the best situation of those guys, too. He has a few legit receiving threats, and AD

Look at this story nestled under your Bridgewater one:

How have we not thrown ourselves off of this bridge already? Look at that Wilson quote.

I would have considered trading down, picking up an extra pick and getting him if he was still there very late in the 1st...which he was. Then you could still address your needs with plenty of picks....have cake and it it too thing.
Definitely preferred him over Manziel, but I would not have used the 16th pick on him

Yeah, that's about how I felt. We were backed into a corner and needed to use the pick on defense, I thought. But then we went RG, anyway.

It'd be nice to have a QB to develop, though. I liked Bridgewater best of the top guys this year, but there will be others I like as much down the road. I do like what Minny's doing overall, though. I think they're a really underrated team if they get anything at all out of the QB position.

The QB classes look good in 2015 for sure and possibly 2016 too, so that works.

Yeah, Minny has done some good things. That division looks pretty good.

Fwiw, Matt Cassell greatly outplayed Bridgewater in the preseason opener.
Again, fwiw.

I like Bridgewater. I agree he was probably the best QB of this years draft class. It is all relative. I don't think any of the QBs in this class will be great.

Norv had positive things to say about Brandon Weeden while in Cleveland. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2013/08/cleveland_browns_oc_norv_turne_2.html

The thing I noticed while watching the Vikings play is that Bridgewater appears to be smaller than he did in college. He really has some toothpick legs. We really won't know how good he will be until at least his 3rd season when the Vikes move into their new dome. I think he will struggle the first two seasons(like most rookies) especially playing outdoors in Minnesota and that will get tougher when the cold weather hits.

I really liked this one coming out of college but I didn't see any flash from him the other day...

Blake Bortles looked a lot better than Bridgewater in their first games.

Now that they're throwing more at him--as in pre-season games and scrimmages--Teddy has come down back to earth.
He played poorly in his first game and followed it up with 3 ints in a practice scrimmage today.
Rookie QBs tend to do that.
