I was shocked when Wade was hired over Norv.

Now I'm excied that Jaeery Jones learned from his flawd thinking and now has Jason Garrett in place, with control.

Jason Garrett would be the head coach of another team.

Wade Phillips would still be the head coach of San Diego. (Because it was his job if we hadn't hired him first before Shottenheimer left.)

And we would have made the playoffs in 08, but still would have lost to the Giants in 07 and the Vikings in 09. We would have made the playoffs last year, though.

It depends on who the DC would have been.

I would say no & no

Because if we had Norv as HC, and JG as OC, the offense would have been better, without Wade making any OC type decisions, personeel. But I don't believe we would have the talent on Defense to what we have now. The defense really stepped up in a lot of wins, especiaslly getting to the NFC championship game.

I think ultimately we would be where we are at now, with JG as HC / OC, and a new DC. Maybe not Ryan, but someone similar. But without the talent we now have. I think the drafts would have been much different.

If it was Norv, and he hired a firey DC we'd have some skins by now.

But I like were we are today even better.

Well, San Diego hasn't won jack, either. We'd probably be right where they are, which would be considered underachieving by our fan base. Maybe Norv would still be head coach, but there would be a lot of grumbling. Only one thing satisfies Cowboys fans.
