Norv is an offensive coordinator and not a headcoach, always has been and it will never be different.

Hopefully for Dallas Garrett can prove to be both.

AJ Smith and Dean made Keith Olbermann's "Worst Persons in the NFL" Honors tonight for hiring Norv.

Ted Cottrell SUCKS-the only reason why he succeeded in Buffalo was b/c it was Wade who was running the show-otherwise, he was only driving the bus.

it's his offense they have been running for years, there just isn't any way people can look at that team and blame it on turner.
Where they are is on the management not on norv in my opinion.

I take it you were one of the guys wanting to hire him.

Maybe you should toxify yourself.

i take it being a private dectective was NOT on your list of things to consider through skills tests.

no. i wanted the D coordinator from chicago. i wanted to go "youth movement" and now it's about to become "cool" to go youth movement.

so you were wrong in your assumption of me, but hey - go for it willie.

we're having a good time and we're one of the best teams in the NFL and it's been a long long time since we've been here. i'm going to love every second of it.

norv ain't got crap to do with our team today. why bring him up all the time as if some alternate reality cowboys fan is in misery wirh norv as the coach?

next time let *me* answer your questions.

I'll admit I was one of the pro Norv guys. I really thought he would help out romo. As it turns out, I was as wrong on that as anything in my life. I would trade Wade for Norv for anything right now.

Good call Jerry!

Six months ago that bandwagon was full of people who claimed we were hiring a puppet instead of going with the obvious choice of Norv. I didn't want him then or now. But to say his failure this year in SD would have been our fate had he landed here instead is a bit of a reach.

It wasn't so much hiring Norv as it was firing Shotty and waiting so long to do so that got them that dubious honor.

i thought phillips was a bad call and a tie to the past. i loved the garrett signing but i never saw it coming. i defended jerry for hiring him before a HC.

but phillips is here for 1 reason and 1 reason only - to fix the D and make it aggressive. look at the chargers. i'm about to drop that D after 4 weeks in 1 of my leagues. what will i pick up? tennessee maybe of all teams.

in my mind i see wade the coach this year - 1/2 coach next year, D coordinator after that and garrett OC, 1/2 head coach, total HC.

and a youth movement is now underway in coaching. jeff fisher just got removed from the equation but use his #'s as a guideline for $.

i remember this pic and laughed cause no - i did not want norv. i defended the wade pick cause i didn't see him as a puppet. but i don't see him "long term" either.

i never wanted norv. he's had too many chances where even if you allow lenience and questions, he still failed.

norv is a good OC but he'll never make all the pieces fit. he's just not that smart.

Phillips hire was a no brainer for us.

The Norv Turner implosion was predictable.

who said i'm after "messageboard" happiness?

i am happy. damn happy about our team. i've not felt this way about our cowboys team since we beat san deigo to start a new season after that, 3-13?

i love the cowboys. romo is the epitomy of all that we want from a team. he's chauser, shakespere and all that we watch the game for.

he *is* the chit.

pay him whatever it takes. pay him more than payton. or at least close.

he's special and we have to keep him or we're back to a decade of hutch and carter debates.

i don't ever wanna do that again.

messageboard happiness? why? i'll call it as i see it live, online, or anywhere else i may be. i have my good points and i have my bad.

i have people ignore me.

my beard loves dos equis.

but i'm not the fan to make fun of other teams problems when we've been rife with our own.

i'm sorry if that hurts your "messageboard" goals.

All that to say and yet you still ignore step one. Shame.
