Norval shoves knife in Commanders back

Raiders showed no sense of urgency as time was running down in the game against the Giants. They had nothing to play for, but could have at least acted like they wanted to win the game. Moss was on the sidelines...4 straight runs, and no TD.

Me thinks Norv knew that the Commanders had a shot at the division title, and wanted to make sure that the Giants won the game and secured the NFC East.

Unfortunately, Norv also eliminated one of our playoff scenarios.

That play that was reviewed by the refs where they didn't give the TD to the Raiders...it even surprised the announcers that they said that it wasn't a TD.

Now, the ball doesn't have to cross the goalline....just any part of your body....which is a change from last year I believe as it always used to be the BALL had to cross, but anywho.....

The NFL has it all set-up just like they like it....with the Giants in a position to go to the Superbowl.....they gave them an extra game....they had the refs help them.

Coinicidence? Hearken back to 9-11.....was it not the PATRIOTS that won the Superbowl? Was it not the NEW YORK Yankees that won the World Series?

The examples you mention are a bit ironic, but something was strange tonight in the Raiders demeanor and approach to the final 6 minutes of the ball game. They had no desire to win, and it showed.

I personally feel that the Giants are doomed in the playoffs, they are really banged up.

Yes, the Raiders final TWO possessions were VERY questionable.

I think he got in...the announcers thought he got in....the re-play even shows half of his body across the goal line before getting pushed back.....the NFL saw differently.

True, but Norv had to have known that he gives his former team a leg up in the division by beating the Giants. Based on his body language, and that of the Raiders players, it appeared that he was not compelled to win the game in the stretch.

It was all a bit strange. Randy Moss was ticked off, and was forced to stand on the sidelines down the stretch. The expression on his face said it all.

Its a stretch for sure.

Norv will finally be recognized as a poor HC, instead of a potentially good HC.

He has had nearly 9 years to prove he is effective, which he hasnt been able to do.

As an OC, the man has obviously done very well.
