The ubris of this organization to convince themselves they can manage a good enough running game with a part time scat back like Felix Jones...um, sorry, excuse me...Tony Pollard...was part of their undoing offensively.

Could have had a good inside RB in the 2nd round than the backup TE. And don't get us started on the bust DT Kevin Brooks from Michigan. Oops, sorry again, I meant Mazi Smith.

Seriously, it is like history repeating itself. "We don't need Julius Jones anymore...Felix Jones can take over at RB full time".

Sure. Wash, rinse, repeat.

It's unbelievable, other teams pull guys out of their behinds I've never heard of that are much better than any RB we have. That Buffalo backup who just scored is a great example.

I agree. It was a strategic mistake to ignore the RB position. There was a nice OL sitting there in the second round too.

A credible downfield passing attack would help the run game tremendously though. Spread the defense out. Skewing the offense towards the short game didn't help Pollard any.

Biggest problem with the running games wasn't Pollard or any RB, it was the Fat Mike scheme. Oh, the center was pretty bad too. Absolutely no running lanes and seasonal like predictability. Never seen a center and Dline men in the backfield as often as this season. No RB would have been successful in this run scheme

*TE from Michigan technically helps the run game.

*First pick was supposed to help us stop the run....

I think run blocking was a issue.
Well, that's what my eyes told me but All Pro selections said otherwise. I think the commish is going to revise the records to show we ran for over 4,000 yards. Because, you know, that's what our line should have produced.

Definitely need OL and DL. Wouldn’t be upset taking that top center if still on board at 24.

Run defense and offensive line are the areas we need to address. Don't act why people think we had some bottom tier trash run game.

Blocking was atrocious

Running game is probably not even in top 5 worries

Run defense, pass defense, 3rd down defense, 2 minute defense, short yardage defense. My top 5.
