Not disappointed about the game.

I think the cowboys played like it was the first game of the preseason. There is going to be a lot of tape of this game for the coaches to show the players. There is no reason for us fans to be worried. I expect a good practice week followed by a better effort for game #2. This is a great learning experience for the young guys.

Our first team played decent, but our backups were horrible.

Our lack of depth in certain area's showed.

I'm not worried by any means, but we need MUCH improved play from our non-starters.

All things considered, I'd still rather be in our shoes than the shoes of either the Skins or the Eagles -- their starters were blasted by their respective opponents.

At the very least, the Cowboys were leading when their starters were pulled.

Lol Scipio, the Eagles played the Pats and the Skins played the Ravens.

We played the freaking Raiders

And how would you feel if the Cowboys' starters had been blasted by the Raiders' starters?

Like we took 3 steps backwards and we need alot more work to do than I thought.

Tennessee will provide a much better indicator of where the Cowboys are, in my opinion.

I despise the entire eagles organization but when I watched them on NFLN after our game they looked much better overall and thats in the 3rd and 4th quarters. There were guys stepping up and 3rd string defense making inspired plays and flying to the ball. It was obvious.
I just wish one of our reaches had really stepped it up. Our best guy other than our 3rd WR was prob Keon Lattimore and he won't play for us.

Oh absolutely no argument there. The first preseason game is always going to have bumps.

I just wish our bumps on defense were minimized.

Yeah, well it was Oakland's first preseason game too: and they SUCK. Our 2nd and 3rd teamers looked horrible. Plain and simple. We can go 11-5 if no one gets hurt this season, or 7-9 if they do: pretty scary.

Please. Detroit went 5-0 in the preseason last year, 0-16 in the regular season. Preseason means nothing. It's just evaluation with no strategy. Calm down, guys.

I agree. And right now, I think he's auditioning for another team. I don't think he makes it onto the practice squad again if he keeps playing the way he did last night.
