Would love to see someone with a run-first background like from the Shanihan coaching tree,,, or at least an OL coach with similar background. I think in the long run this is what you want as your base, along with a strong defense, then you're at least competitive even with an average QB.

If there are plays called where the recievers are getting open then the OC did his job.

Offensive ranking and W/L record were inflated by the NFC east.

In division: 6-0 record and 40 points per game.
Outside of it: 6-6 record and 25 points per game.

It got even worse against teams with 10 or more wins, two of whom play games tomorrow.

AZ - 17
SF - 17

The defense held those teams to 19, 22, and 23 points and yet the Cowboys trailed all day. Dak/Moore weren't hard for good teams to solve.

And yet clowns here think because it was the No 1 offense, Dak and Moore should get a pass. They fell apart when against good teams and when it really counted. A mess.

Jerry isn’t going to make decisions based off what analysts and HOF players have to say. The offense was ranked number one and we had the highest scoring offense in the NFL. This isn’t to say there weren’t issues. We have an entire offseason to analyze what went wrong with the offense the second half of the season. I believe the OL was a big part of the problems. Run blocking was terrible and there were issues with pass protection. Obviously Dak’s game regressed the second half of the season and the OL and lack of a running game played a part in that.

I think that's a fair evaluation.

Always a problem when discussing the Cowboys with their usual dysfunctional lines of authority in coaching. Good old Wade was kneecapped from Day 1.

On G-Bag they said that Jerry asked MM to be more involved in offensive side of the game. I don't know if it was the same as when he told JG that Moore would be the play caller and not to interfere but I took it as a positive. After all that's why you hire a super bowl winning offensive minded coach in the first place.

That's also frustrating because why does Jerry have to tell the HC to become more involved and help the struggling offense when MM is regarded as an offensive mind. Our GM, who isn't qualified to be a GM, has to tell our coach, who's never heard of clock management, to coach the team. I think the McDonald's down the street from is run better than this.
