Not gonna be popular... trade Roy and Julius for #2

But for my money, now that I know the lions want to trade that number 2 pick badly, I would package Julius Jones and Roy Williams and come away with the number 2 pick, thus having the number 2 and the number 22 in the first round..............

Then using the number 2 I would trade back for more picks to where I was sure I could comfortably get Laron Landry to replace RW, eliminating my safety problems..........

Then utilize what extra picks I had gotten to do what was necessary to also bag Lynch or one of the other top backs like Bush to replace JJ, then laugh all the way to the Super Bowl, having upgraded my team by leaps and bounds and still not having given away my draft this year to do it,........................

no joke.....

Julies had a 1000 yard season and it was his first full season in the league. Roy has 4 pro-bowls, why get rid of them? I'm fully prepared to have them on the team next year.

remember your dealing with Matt Millen, and how poorly he negotiates for the Lions, but even if you had to throw in a couple of low round picks to go with them to me it would be worth it........

Roy just signed a new contract so the cap hit would be huge.

I'm not even worried about the cap hit, just Matt Millen, of all people, laughing in our faces

would that even work in Madden?

Just checked -

Detroit also gives us an extra 2nd and 5th, although if I try to push it to a 4th, the trade approval bar drops to the red. :(

;)

I understand the cap hit, and I also understand Roy couldnt cover a grey hound bus with a flat tire, but he is an impact player on defense that could by trading him away get you a Hall of Famer to take his place.............

Worked in Madden huh? Then I guess it means there is no way in hell it works in real life.

I don't know, but I do know it doesn't even come close in real life.

Why trade Roy, when you just admitted he's an impact player, for a chance to draft a guy who may very well turn out to be not even close to as good as Roy is.

I would love to see what someone inside the organization looks like as they just read this. The reaction would be priceless.

Seriously, Id pay to see Jerry's face as he read this.....as botoxed as it is, im sure it would get one hell of a response.

not only is it not popular, but it's not realistic.

if we trade picks for picks at the point value in place, to get their 2nd pick, we'd give up 1-3 rounds picks for this year AND next.

now, you saying roy and julius are worth that? i'd have to think any GM out there would tell you to hop on back to your xbox and keep dreaming.
