You have to consider how the media fits into the equation. The media both national and local will do anything to create controversy about the Cowboys.
It would be a huge distraction because all of the player, coaches and front office people would be constantly questioned about it.
He's not that great of a player to make it worth the trouble.

I'm all for the notion of players not choir boys. The problem is his history, and whats happened in Miami, is a circus that doesn't need to be dealt with in Dallas. He would bring way to much 'me' attention to the enviroment, rather he wanted to or not, and that's simply not needed.
I don't think it would be a circus.
He would walk into Valley Ranch, answer questions from the press for about 10-15 minutes, then go about his business. The distractions would be over. He's not like T.O., who always had to have a camera to look into and smile.
I agree with those who say the team could use some nastiness. We have a bunch of finesse choir boys out there. That's the one thing I miss from Marc Columbo, and we would get it from Incognito.
He'd have to come in relatively cheap though.
Which media person pkays on the team? Until they can help us win.mtheir opinion means nothing
Heck..
Suddenly WE are worried about how we are perceived by signing this guy?
You kiddngng me?
We have to have the reputation as the NFLs largest Girl Scout Troop.
We are not tough, not physical and teams just wait around waiting for us to implode by the 4th Qt..
Of course sign him

I just explained why it's an issue. Please read the complete post. It has nothing to do with the media's opinion. It all about the distraction that it would cause. When the player and coaches get beat down every day with questions about a controversial subject, it becomes a distraction.
Other than this Issue...and its looking hes going to be cleared. ..what other distraction does he bring? As far as the truth from what I heard...Miami screwed this up.
are you really that obtuse? Have you bothered to check his history before Miami?
