Not sure how to feel

I want to win, for obvious reasons.

I want to lose, to get rid of Garrett.

Even if we win, we aren't good enough to win a Superbowl.

Even if we lose, we don't have a first round pick, and its not guarenteed that Garrett gets fired.

What is everyone rooting/hoping for?

I had the same feeling after leaving the Panthers stadium on September 9th. Indifferently, really. I decided last season that life is too short to get worked up over something so trivial like football.

This team is bad. Like, really bad. At this point, I'm hoping we lose every game, Jerry will lament not having a top 5 pick, the coaching staff should be overhauled, and from there - we begin our search for a franchise QB. That is the best case scenario for me.

When the collapse continues - and it will - it will be guaranteed that Garrett gets fired.

Jerry Jones can't sell this crap now, much less at season's end after the league is done mopping the floor with his hand-picked, never-was of a head coach. Even Jerry Jones will have no choice but to admit the inevitable.

#1 Garrett fired.
#2 Jerry steps down.
#3 Impact free agent signings.
#4 Nail all remaining picks in the draft.
#5 Tired of watching Cowboys football games looking like this:facepalm:

Problem is Stephen/another Jones will take over on #2.

SJ means no impact FA signings.

I feel like I am a punching bag for Jerry and Jason.
I punch back by not spending money on their delusions of this team.
But I can't do it alone.

You have Jerry stepping down at two.

However, that should be number one in my opinion then Garrett gets fired.

Until we traded that first round pick, I was torn. I wanted to lose to hopefully get rid of Garrett, but I cannot root against this team.

Now I just want to win enough to not be upset about losing said pick, but enough to get rid of Garrett, and embarrass Jones enough to actually do something (that last part is nothing but a pipe dream).

And as much as I want and hope for that, I will still root for them every weekend (can't help that). It's a sadomasochistic dichotomy I cannot escape.

Even though it sucks we don’t have a first round pick, we still kill two birds with one stone by losing: hopeful coaching and player overhaul, and better picks throughout the remaining draft...

It’ll be really sad if we miss out on a top five pick, though...

Honestly, I really doubt we win less than six games however...

There is talent on this team, just not enough to overcome the ineptness of the GM/HC/OC......with an owner thing all are doing a great job.........houses are built from a firm foundation up, not from the roof down.

Jones' family to sell the team. That is the only way Dallas will have success again. Bring another coach. Same deal. A puppet..

This is not the Cowboys this is Jones boys why should we cheer for them.
No way we get our team back while this family running it.

Don't underestimate the impact of troy aikmans comments on espn
He is very visible and respected in football circles.
This may get Jerry's attention.

I don't think it matters who the coach is. Jerry will choose his coordinators, decide who plays QB, control all of personnel, etc. Different coach, same story.

AMEN!!!!!! Finally someone who gets it........!!!!!:hammer:

What irks me is if they had gotten even a decent free agent LG along with trade for Earl, this team would at worst be 5-3 right now.

The margin in the NFL is small. Bush league coaches/management leave things on the table which you can't do in this league (you have to play/pay to win NOW).

Welcome to purgatory nightmare. Just floating around the toilet waiting for someone to pull the lever.
