You completely missed the point and are getting caught with the wrong point of the post. My mistake. I'll be more clear next time.

What is your opinion on my idea on how to keep romo as QB2. I was really wanting discussion on that, not really about trading.

Also just a point I want to make to anyone reading this. I was saying we should at the very minimum field offers, I never said anything about making a deal. My point was there is no harm to listening to offers. Some of the best deals are the ones not made.
Many won't agree with me but only 18 QBs started all 16 games for their team last season. If Romo didn't get injured and Dak was the backup not many people would have a hard time with both being on the team next year. So if we already had a certain amount allocated to the QB position anyway I am ok with Romo being the league's highest paid backup because he would also be the league's best back up and better than most starting QBs.

Now I don't know if he would he ok with this scenario.

But I also believe he should come back in when he is healthy enough this year. I'm more loyal than most. Plus I don't see any drop off from having him start. And I love Dak. He has been playing incredible.

There are worse problems to have.

As for Dez...no trades. No way.

Can't trade him now. They will need him at some point. I might explore it in the offseason if I can get something of real value but my first choice would be to ask him to take a paycut and be a player/coach. I think Romo might enjoy the throwback role of backup QB/QBs coach. He may be able to fill that role until he is 40 years old and then become a full time coach if he wants to.
