I watched the Dez to Witten pass, but I didn't see him throw up the X. Was it captured on film? I'd love to see that.

I barely caught it during the replay. If you watch the game again, during the replay Dez runs down and congratulates Witt by jumping into his arms. Right after that, Witt throws up the X. It's quick because the camera cuts away but you can see it. Lol. Pretty cool.

I also noticed in the pre-game dance with the receivers and backs, Witten came over and did his thing. You could tell he is not comfortable dancing but he wants to a part of and is embracing the special bond this team has developed.

Loved that play, but not the timing of it since this game meant nothing other than gaining momentum and confidence. I hope we can see a variation of it in the playoffs. Always loved how Landry would come up with trick plays in critical games. Last night might not have been the right time to burn it though because people have now seen it and would expect it. Hopefully Garrett and Co have a few more tricks in their sleeve. We need at least 3 more, one for each meaningful game we have left.

It doesn't matter if teams have seen that play or not. it's designed as an option where Dez has the choice to run if the receiver is covered or pass if he is open. Regardless you still have to defend it and stop it.

Exactly. What we did last night was the expanding of our portfolio for things opposing defenses will have to prepare for in the playoffs. Lol. Love it.

I really disagree about showing it so other teams will have to prepare for it. That really does not make sense. Touch D, 3rd and goal from the 6 and you run that play in the playoffs for a TD when it counts - that is when you show it. Now it is just, if you see Dez coming around for the reverse, stay with the TE like you are supposed to do. That is the extent of the prep, we already run a reverse for Lucky so it is not like it is some new thing.

I doubt that is the only arrow in Linehan's quiver. We'll be alright.

Dez did an awesome job selling that play. He tucked the ball and sold the defenders on the run.....
