....when you have a GM and HC that no other team would ever consider hiring for those same spots.

The ultimate sadness, for those of you who are taking solace in the idea that Garrett is a step closer to fired, is that the owner will only bring in another unqualified puppet....and that staff will be littered largely with current assistants whose contracts havent expired.

Most likely Moore as HC....or some Switzer type that is forced to accept Moore as OC because of Dak, similar to Kitchens getting the job in Cleveland because of Mayfield. Theres a reason you dont let your 22-23 YO QB choose the coaches. Theres also a reason why no pro sports team is run the way this team is, structure wise. But, one act is the Browns, the other is Jerry, and he is about the most stubborn man on earth. Fully convinced "his way" is the way, and that Jerry the GM can be effective also being the owner.

It's not going to get any better folks. Not for a long, long while.

I garuantee a 1000% Moore will not be a head coach anywhere next season. you have to be utterly stupid to hire him as a head coach after one year of OC coaching....

but I agree, whomever comes is just the next puppet...Jerry has been fantastic in generating hope and deliving nothing in the past 25...he will do the same....hey, look at the next coach I hired. we all get excited....we see slight ray of hope only for it to be dimmed because of jerry meddling...wash, rinse, repeat.....

Well, sure (on Moore) but then you're going to have the scenario we had with Garrett when Wade was here. It's basically he is the HC in waiting, Jerry won't want to lose him, so either Garrett comes back, the new HC is forced to keep Moore, or Moore simply gets the job.

Mind you Jerry feels like he has found the new McVay in Moore, and you see what's happening in LA now.

Plus none of the antics have to change that way....no real HC is going to go for the owner/GM addressing the team before he does, going on the radio and talking about injuries, etc just to hear himself talk

I honestly think Urban Meyer would be willing to do until those assistants contacts could be bought out

Garrett has more coaching experience and as you said he served as OC for a few years...coach in the waiting...not one year QB coach. one year OC with mixed results, then head coach of the cowboys....never going to happen

he may someday soon be a head coach, but has to show more than he has....perhaps in a different environment
