Yes I know that our online, pass rush, ILB's, secondary, and kick returning sucked, but does anybody think it would have been different had we not lost Demarco?

I thought we were going to ride him to the party at one time. It's hindsight now, but I cannot wait to see this horse with real guards!

Do you think we would have made the the playoffs at least because of one guy? I think so.
 
I was actually going to post a similar topic. I believe he was HUGE part of this offense and was a big reason we had a 5-1 run.
 
Might have been a little bit different, but not much - our pass rush was still very weak and our secondary was not very good. Also, Costa was terrible down the stretch.
 
Yeah. He could've killed clock in some those blown leads. We had no one to rely on late in games
 
Felix Jones hung 137 total yards on the Giants (22 touches) and rushed 16 times for 106 yards (6.62 YPC). Felix Jones hung 131 total yards on Tampa Bay (25 touches) and rushed for 108 yards on 22 rushes. It was highest rush total, by a single running back, at Raymond James Stadium (2011).

Do you really want to know why the Cowboys didn't beat the Giants in Dallas and win the division? I'll tell you.

1. $ 54 million dollar WR butchers perhaps the most basic route in football

2. FB's terrible effort to block Jason Pierre-Paul on bend-x

3. LCB drops 6 points

4. FG protection breaks down

If the Cowboys just execute 1 of the first 3 plays, they win the NFC East. The Giants don't make the playoffs. The Packers win the Super Bowl.
 
The Cowboys were so close to making the playoffs, there are many things that could have made the difference.
 
A lot different. We were simply a better team when he was getting the rock.
 
Some of you guys are unbelievable. I think Rafael Vela was the only guy objective enough (in the media) to analyze the play (2nd and 5) accurately and call out Fiammetta on his very poor effort. When Fiammetta whiffs on Pierre-Paul, Holland's guy escapes. Jones has no escape route. He has Pierre-Paul in his face and Holland's guy has cut him off.

Some of you can give Tony Fiammetta a free pass for his terrible effort to block Pierre-Paul (on bend-x). The trap block on the DE is the key block to the play. However, the film doesn't lie. John Phillips had a good enough trap block on Pierre-Paul, on bend-x, the very play before. Jones gained 5 yards inside. Phillips had another decent block on Pierre-Paul (bend-x) earlier in the game. Jones stiff armed Pierre-Paul in the hole and gained 11 yards. If Phillips is assigned to block Pierre-Paul, Felix is probably off to the races.

Austin and Free had the edge sealed, and if Fiammetta doesn't tip-toe over to Pierre-Paul and get tossed aside like Raggedy Ann, Felix Jones has the first down, easy. There is no telling how far he runs. The pass to Austin never happens. Dallas is going to win that game right there.

I don't know. I'm not sure any offensive player could really make up for our defense's ability to blow leads.

Look, I don't have to apologize for defending Felix Jones, because this is obviously a pro-Murray board.

However, you know what. Not everyone is under the influence of the Dark Lord of the Sith (the Dallas Media).

It's not the media man. Some of us witnessed it with our own eyes. That is the chage that happened immediately when DeMarco went down. I don't even read Dallas media crap...

I think playing st.Louis, Seattle buffalo, Miami, and wash had a lot to do with those 5 wins.

I'm not stupid. The Dallas media is extremely pro Murray and extremely biased against Jones. However, the Dallas media has always been biased against Jones. You are in the Tashard Choice fan category. That is where your bias against Jones comes from.

You do know that Felix Jones out-rushed Murray on his first carry against the Giants, don't you? Murray rushed 5-25, and Jones ran the counter trey inside and made 3 people miss and gained 26 yards. Did you see Jones clearly out-play Murray against the Cardinals? Yet, our coaches wouldn't give him the football (Jones- 6-36; Murray 12-38).

Felix's explosive speed and quickness and his lethal jump cutting was on full display against a Super Bowl caliber defense.

We probably win 1 more game so the Giants would not be champs but with our D we'd be 1 and done at best if we made the playoffs so not that much different for us, very different for a few others though
