J.J. Pesavento, of Next Level Scouting, reports the Dallas Cowboys are looking at University of Arizona CB Antoine Cason as a possible first-round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.

I really think Cason is one of the "safer" CB options for us in Round 1. Other than Cromartie, and possibly McKelvin, I'd opt for Cason.

I think several mock drafts have him going around pick 27 to the Chargers.

My feeling is that he'll go anywhere from pick 22 - 30 area.

22 might be a little bit high but I could live with it.

The way I look at it is that if I would be happy with him around 25 (which I would be), the difference of 3 spots isn't going to make a significant difference end of the day.

Theoretically speaking, it would be ideal to be able to trade down a few spots, get an extra pick, and still get the player you want, but of course that only depends if you get a partner to trade with and you get lucky.

Good point. I guess Im just hoping that he will be there at #28.

I like Cason just fine, but somehow I doubt that Pesavento guy has a source inside Valley Ranch...
