I'm sure a lot of people will be happy with tonights performance....Yes they kept us in the game....but let's be honest.

1. Anthony Brown killed us. Shouldn't be starting.

But the bigger factor.........

2. What the hell happened to the double AA gap blitz we used so effectively in the pre-season?

Parsons and D-Law in the middle....Armstrong and Gregory on the outside...

We didn't run that one time....Not once.

In the pre-season.....teams were 0-fer on 3rd down. You did not want to see that front on 3rd and long.

Though we were gonna bank on speed @ LBer....Neal , Cox and Kearse....yet we couldn't match up w/ Gronk all night long. Especially not seeing Cox on Gronk was a head scratcher.

Remember how we were gonna shut down the run game w/ Bohanna??? Did he even play?

Jaylon is still Jaylon....can't run...slow to react. This LBer rotation....not sure what to think. Feels like Parson got marginalized splitting snaps.

Hate that D-Law ended up in coverage a few times. He's a pass rusher....think Quinn out smarted himself a few times tonight....and really wasn't as aggressive as he should have been w/ the blitz.

The one time he ran it...was in a horrible spot near the goal line that resulted in points....and it was a horrible design to begin w/ leaving D-Law in no mans land in a trail position on Gronk.

@ the end of the game....w/ the game on the line....you had Brent Urban and Basham leading the charge as your top pass rushers....WHAT THE HELL?????? you still had 2 time outs left @ the end of the game...why not burn one to rest your guys???? If I remember that was a problem last year.....that wasn't corrected.

Maybe it's just me being ticked off @ losing a golden opportunity....but this sure wasn't what I thought our defense was gonna be like coming into tonight.

We gotta do something @ CB though....we can't continue to trot Brown out there for the weekly pig roast.

What were you expecting, the '85 Bears?

The defense was a horror show last season. Against the SB champs, on their home field, they could've won if the kicker could've managed a 31 yard field goal and an extra point. They weren't dominant by any means, but they weren't solely responsible for tonight's loss. They produced a couple of big turnovers. Frankly, I expected worse.

I guess you misunderstood me....I think we actually played well @ times.....we just did alot of odd things...And that we could have done a better job w/ our substitutions. I expected us to be way more aggressive...and it sure seemed like we were comfortable rushing 4 guys all night...and giving Brady all night to throw.

Getting 0 sacks...and 2 pressures....isn't gonna beat Tom Brady.

I thought Quinn was gonna be way more aggressive than he was tonight....and mix up our LBer substitutions as well..keeping teams off balance. I think Brady figured that out pretty quickly...and once he saw the rotations...took advantage of it w/ his play calling.

We gotta make a trade or just hope our upgrade comes from a rookie.

Jesus...After watching Brown get lit up...I'm almost convincing myself Richard Sherman could be an answer....damn...I gotta go to bed soon. This is a nightmare.... I'm even thinking Richard Sherman could fix our problems.

It was as if everything Dan Quinn had been talking about since March was thrown out the window. I expected much more variety than that.. I thought we would confuse Brady more and get after him more, particularly up the middle. Did we get the best out of Micah Parsons? I didn't think there were enough 5 man fronts

Anybody that’s actually watched this team knew well before last night that A. Brown would get abused last night. That was a given. He’s always been trash and always will be.

Parsons was a bit of a disappointment. Of course it’s just his first game. But unfortunately for him, this defense needs him now. He didn’t do much of anything last night.

The pass rush in general was non existent. The play calling was far less aggressive than I anticipated. This defense is missing a ton of talent. 4 takeaways and we still lost. Disheartening to say the least. I mentioned it before, this coaching staff isn’t good.

It’s the defending SB Champions, the roster reads like HoF induction list and we still got 3-4 Turnovers. We’re not loosing much this yr.

Correct...however that play epitomized the problem with blitzing against Brady. It was a fairly well designed play, expecting Tank to blitz and Wilson (?) to cover, but Brady's ability to read plays turned it into a disaster.....Tank wouldnt have the speed to get to Brady and Wilson (?) doesnt have the size to cover Gronk.

It's the classic Tyson quote "everyone has a plan..."

there was only 1 sack in the entire game lol.
Neither team tried to rush the qb or blitz much. that is why it turned into a shootout. They both played coverage more than rush.
As for game planning neither team did a good job on this game.

With no push up the middle, they were not going to stop Brady.

No sacks if memory is correct . Brady gets the ball out as fast anyone but before the game discussing keys to the game one was consistent pressure on Brady secondly have the running game gets some yards in chunks takes time off the clock gives your D some breather keeping them off the field , Cowboys did neither .

I also thought the Bucs could have run in particular right up the middle at will, Fournette wouldn’t get stopped until he was 5 yards into the interior. DT is concerning . Maybe Mr Hamilton needs to suit up vs San Diego.

The bar is low when you're looking at last year's defensive crap fest so surrendering 52 yds rushing and a plus 3 turnover margin should be good enough on most Sundays.

Yep and two of the TD's we conceded were due to missed coverage by Brown and Tank (unsure whether he's the guy to be in coverage on that play).

As a unit the defense looked at least competent.

Against teams that dont have the quick release and football brain at QB i'm sure we'll risk more pass rush pressure.
