The Cowboys make all three of their selections sound like no-brainers, even though most of us were scratching our heads. If things work out as well as the Cowboys brain trust seems to think they will, then we shouldn't really be worried.

If these really were Best Player Available choices, then we'll just have to wait and see if the Cowboys' idea of best player is on target or not.

Bottom line: As we evaluate the selections, we must include in our draft evaluation the fact that we also added additional selections in the 4th, 6th, and 7th rounds tomorrow...while some of us might have preferred a FS or OLman in the 2nd or 3rd, it's hard to argue with a TE who's supposed to start, a sleeper DE, and 3 more players to be announced.

Tomorrow we'll either come away with 6 players, 9 total, when we started with only 6 total selections for the draft...or we'll be able to use an extra 6th or 7th to move up in round 4 or 5 for a targeted player.

All in all, not bad.

Bing is still available, but he's a limited and slow SS at best...he can't play FS.

I have to believe the Cowboys paid Keith Davis 2 million dollars to play FS, not to play special teams alone....Coleman is also expected to improve the position.

I'm not saying we won't take a FS tomorrow, but I think it will continue to be by the Best Player available plan...we won't be looking for our starter tomorrow.

Well there is still a lot of postives here we did not reach on any picks we drafted guys rated about where everyone had them rated.

Now a guy may still bust or what ever but we did not reach for guys like Jacob Rogers who was rated a 3rd rounder in the 2nd and things like that.

It also sounded like we listened to the scouts no drafting a QC when the scouts wanted Jerry Porter the LB and stupid things like that.

No gambling gambling on guys like Alundis Brice, Goodrich, Larrimore !

No of the guys look to be knuckle heads like Ross.

I think the biggest gripe from everyone seems to be we did not draft players in areas they wanted like Oline and FS
