..to Curtis Martin because I think that he is a classy person and player and I never wish injury to anyone, but just thought I would let it be known: Emmitt's consecutive 1000 yard rushing seasons record is safe for quite a while.. Martin is undergoing season-ending knee surgery and finishes the year with 735 yards..

theogt-- yep, Martin is the closest active.. I dont really think he had much of a chance for it anyways, but this season and this surgery pretty much kills any shot he did have.. the all-time record, in my opinion, wont be challenged for many years, maybe by a Tomlinson or Alexander 10 years from now.. MAYBE..

If he'd had a season like last year's he'd probably be pretty close. He killed me on fantasy this year. I'm guess I'm just stupid for thinking he'd repeat.

nah, thats not stupid.. i think a lot of people were thinking he would have another good season.. maybe not like last year's incredible year, but a good year..
