Not what I expected after a bye week

I guess this is who we are a team that gets exposed and worn down about halfway through the season.

Hopeful as I always am I really expected a better plan after a bye week especially when our coach knew their quarterback as well as anyone would.

It looks as though all the teams we have left to play are getting stronger and we are fading.

With the direction things are going in making the playoffs is certainly not a given and after Cooper Rush saving our season this would be an absolute travesty
Your thoughts
You didn't miss the annual mid-season accepting of the Lombardi, did you? Lol

We did run on that drive up 28-21. But there was one call I just didn't like and that was the WR screen to Lamb. Pollard had just run for 7 and 4 and I think Moore got a bit too cute throwing a quick WR screen.

Agreed that screen was a complete waste of time and a down

Until proven otherwise, Jimmy Johnson’s description of this team from several years back still applies- “A country club environment”. This team has been soft for far too long. SF basically called us that before the playoff game last yr, told us they were going to run the ball on us, and then proceeded to do just that. Soft.

And as several fans have suggested in other threads, the Cowboys with Jerry as owner have always played better under a HC that is tough on them. Guys like Barry Switzer, Chan Gailey, Wade Phillips, Jason Garrett and maybe Big Mac- they aren’t exactly running a tight ship with high expectations on players. Jerry likes a feel good environment- especially for himself. I believe this team needs a boot camp environment for a change.

Amen to that Bullet Jerry's all about comfort for him and his players.

That bye week should have been a time to plan and get prepared for the rest of the season and by the looks of things nothing was done.

The penalty situation was back to its usual drive stopping level except this week we had a new wrinkle and special teams would just pin us back by our goal post with some unsportsmanlike conduct crap

The quarterback and the receivers look like it was the first game from preseason not being on the same page causing turnovers.

The defense has yet to make a dent in their run stopping problem so impressed with themselves as sack Masters of the league

For a coach who really wanted to go to his old home and show off his talent he looked sad and desperate with his only plan being through the dice against the wall on 4th down and hope for the best.

As was shown in the Eagles Washington game All it takes is a few stupid plays and a couple penalties or non-calls by the refs and you have lost the game.
