It been in Michigan for a short time, it sells out really fast bars here sell it for $5.25 a bottle, I got a six pack for $12.86 out the door. Did I mention it sells fast

It tastes like A&W root beer to me

I'm a big fan of Henry Weinhard's, Bulldogs is good too. Never been a big fan of Barq's though.

And if anybody likes A&W, it's much better getting it from an A&W restaurant.

I've seen this on menu's at biergartens before. I've never had it... but a friend did... he likes soda( I don't)... he really enjoyed it...

Here's a few different takes on beer/ drinks to try as well:

Hollows Ginger Beer

Flying Dog "SuperTramp" (slight Tart Cherry taste, not overwhelming, not sweet)

Wells Banana Bread Beer (one good beer!! not sweet)

Bolder Shake Chocolate Porter (not sweet at all, hint of coco... really good)

And for the drinkers

Goose Island Bourbon Country Stout (careful... high alcohol content)

I love Root Beer, have for years. The problem, for me, is that I am Diabetic and because of that, I can not drink sugar based soft drinks anymore. The good news is that A&W has a diet Root Beer that is actually really good. Might be the best diet soda I've had.

Diet Mountain Dew at work.... Diet A&W Root beer at home.

I liked IBC liked TB mentioned early but I normally stick with sugar free stuff now... To my knowledge I am not diabetic but zero sugar and zero calories at a certain age and body shape is good thing. Oh and before someone says it.... I am not going to drop it for a water diet.

Of course there is always the rum. Which is not sugar or calorie free.

I know the thread is older, but my daughter is in Chicago for a comic con and she is at a restaurant where they serve Not Your Father's Root Beer. She says it's really good. I wish I had some now.

Tasted it the other day. Delicious. Tastes exactly like root beer.

But, I don't get the point. If I want root beer, I'll drink root beer. If I want beer, I'll drink beer.

I was working in Columbus this past week. I stopped at a store called The Andersons, they had it there by the pallets, I ended up buying 4 cases for people back home.

The guy there working said to me that Pabst now owns it and that they are going to release it nationally really soon. So you can expect it everywhere, hope I get paid for the stuff I bought before they release it.

The big companies buy up quick these days... goose island, boddington, Leffe..... if you're small, and turn a good profit, prepare to be bought....
