Notable Remaining FAs

Jefferson might be worth a tire kick but isn't he more of a box safety? I thought the Cowboys were more looking for interchangeable type safeties.

I'd skip Harrison but Dareus on a short term deal might be worth it.

I think we are OK on OL, right now. Waddle could be a guy to look at if we have recurring issues with Collins and/or Smith at OT.

Logan Ryan
Earl Thomas
Nigel Bradham
Paul Richardson

Stunned that Clowney is still on the market. That has to 100% be a money issue.

Other than that, if I'm Dallas, I'm sitting on the roster I have and rolling the cap space forward. The league's salary cap is tied to revenue and 2020 is guaranteed to be a poor revenue year. It's up in the air how the league will ultimately handle it, but my best guess is the cap goes down. With Dak about to cost a bucket full of money, that shortfall may squeeze us out of a couple veterans we'd really like to keep.

Bradham? Someone will likely sign him to be a starter. He wouldn't come here to be a backup/situational guy. He also is a bit of a problem child.

I have a strange feeling...and nothing is great about it...that we are going to see Matthews w a star on his helmet at some point this year.

Correct, he is a box safety! They might be looking for the safeties to be interchangeable, but right now it looks like they are only interchangeable because they are bad in both run support and coverage.

Dareus to me doesn't make much sense, as he'd be another 1T.

Waddle also intrigues me.

If I could cut Erving and save $1.25M, and cut HHCD, ironically for $1.2M also and sign Waddle and Jefferson for a little more than the CAP savings I would be much more optimistic.

Any of these guys make your pants fit tighter?

I've been pounding the table to add Tony Jefferson once his medical clear.

I see 3 types of players: guys who think they're worth more $$$ than the market, guys whose best days are behind them, and guys who are more trouble than they are worth.

Some of them possess more than one of those qualities. It's no accident that they are still free agents.

idc about the secondary guy...i wish there was a way to cowboys to get clowney. with that dl who cares who ur secondary is lol. just a dream though!

Dareus only makes sense if you need a body at DT, which we may. And of Harrison or Dareus, Dareus is the one more likely to be able to play the 3T in a pinch. Not that he would be ideal, mind you.

And in a 32 team league they are still on the market.

Things that make you go hmmm.

Well we likely have a starting spot open once Lee and Gifford go down lol

It's a good team on Madden lol.

2020 definitely has been a weird year as most of those guys are good enough at least for a 1 year deal.

We play a lot of nickel, so.......................... and we still have Thomas. They really have no use for Bradham at this point.

Every single one of those DBs would be an upgrade to what we have now.

Then consider injuries. But i think our Dline and linebackers are good enough to hide mediocre defensive backs. I should probably say, I hope. Because of they don't, we're in for a long year.
