In 2006/2007 NFL season, if you want to increase our chances at winning and making a playoff appearance, then you must play your BEST talent at important positions.

Case in point--you must start Terrance Newman at punt returner. He is a threat, and our only threat to take the ball to the house! He could change the poor field position we experienced last year all by himself. I am sick and tired of watching the next PR you pick from week-to-week.

Quit wasting our talent Big Bill by sitting our best players on the bench while trying to get by with a fill in.......I am getting sick of it and it must stop this year!

You know, I dont know how many times Dallas punt returners fumbled the punt. The stat could be very well in line with what is considered normal for NFL standards or heck we could have been above average in that category.

For whatever reason, I held my breath on every single punt. I this sensation that Dallas would fumble the punt. I had no faith in our punt returners.

I would love to see a play maker back there as well as someone I do not have to cross my fingers and hope that he would not fumble the ball.

Dear Bill, do not try to win at all costs. Terrance Newman is a dangerous return man, but losing him on special teams would destroy this defense.

Use common sense. Do not use him when the team's pinned back. If it looks like we have a chance at a clean return, then go ahead ... just make sure to tell him NOT to get hurt.

Let's give some of the young guns a chance also. If the game's a route, let Romo or Hensen get a few snaps. You never know ... they may surprise you.

When looking at FA, do not pay top dollar for players over 30. In fact, try and avoid the 30-somethings altogether. These guys tend to be more brittle and have a ton of mileage on them. Don't pay new car prices for one with 100,000 miles of stop and go traffic on it.

Good luck.

Dear Eddie,

Another example,

I recall we traded not one but two draft picks for WR Joey Galloway and never let him return punts because he was so important to our offense. So, we did not let him return punts.

In addition, we did not play to his strengths of the long ball.....we tried to turn him into a possession type receiver.......oh well.....he was written off by Big Bill as not big enough.

Sooo.....let's help him off to Tampa Bay where Gruden is sending him deep......letting him return punts and he looks like a Pro Bowler again.....that is what I am tired of.......saving talent

This is a WIN NOW league!

Dear Tuna,

The O-Line desperately needs to be repaired. Your best O-Lineman will be 31 years old and coming off an ACL tear, not to mention he's probably best suited playing Right Tackle. Meawhile the Washington Commanders have 3 far better O-Linemen than anybody on the squad (Samuels, Jansen, and Thomas) and are all south of 30 years old.

May I suggest finding a talent in the draft that can play LT reasonably well in 2007 and move Flozell to the right tackle spot. You can then always draft a guard and sign a reasonably priced guard in FA in 2007 to replace your aging, pricey, and just not good offensive guards.

That is all.

Sincerely,

Yakuza Rich

Can we also get All Blondes on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Squad on Sunday Home Games...?

I know you are saving the All-Blonde DCC squad for the playoffs and championship games because we don't want to risk using them in ordinary games and running the risk they could run their stockings or break their bootheels during a cheer or come flying out of their tight tops in an ordinary game.

But I think it's time we stopped not putting our best cheerleaders out at games and substituting brunettes and redheads when we know blondes have more fun and so do we watching them.

And since it's been a long time since we have been in the playoffs or a SB, it's time we did this...if not for the team, if not for the fans, then just do it for me.

it disgusts me whenever the newman returning punts topic comes up.

you would think newman was a baby the way some of yall act.Nobody has still brought up a instance where a player got hurt on a punt return.
