Note to next HC- Run 21

I saw Henry coming out plenty on crucial drives by the second half. I’m not sure if he tapped or Vrabel gave him a spell here and there, but he did go out after a few runs.

I watched a lot of Henry as I was financially invested in his performance. He averaged around 18 carries a game. 3rd and 6 or more and usually Lewis would come in. He had hurt his hamstring recently. If healthy and he sat out a drive that is highly unusual.

That’s what scares me about Moore. Very JG like when he was calling the offense.

Zeke would have a great week and the next week we’re diving right up the middle. Throw the ball to set up the run for crying out loud!!!!!!
But was Moore really calling the shots every week?

That's why very few run dominant teams win super bowls in the last 20 years

Yeah because you have to play a time consuming offense and very good D. And that's how they won. But we rarely see defenses play like that and the passing game is a lot easier.

Dallas runs the ball so it keeps their inept Def off the field

Zeke was fat till around Game 12 so....

LOL...everyone still trying to compare Zeke to Henry. It's not even close. Zeke has about a quarter of the heart Henry does...isn't nearly as competitive. Henry just throttles people.....then gets extra yards. Zeke looks for contact...then goes down.

Didn’t everyone hate Linehan because he ran too much?

I saw the Titans do the same thing he would do by motioning in the WR to run block.

When Lamar Jackson goes nuts next week everyone will say the same thing that you have to pound the rock. But Lamar and Henry are very unique and it their talent more than scheme that gives their success.

Zeke is more like Emmitt in that he has great vision but he’s not physically gifted enough to run through 11 guys unless there’s solid blocking.

Let me add Henry didn't tap his helmet on the long drives. EzE needs to stay in shape. He should be better than Henry.

He only tapped, because it was allowed. This past year was tap, run, run, tap.

Note to next hc. We know were a mess and we dont expect to be contenders for at least 2-3 seasons.

The Titans beat NE on the road by running Henry. They didn't have a fancy offense, they just posed their will on NE.

This is how our offense was built, yet for some reason, we couldn't do the same.

EzE to the future.

that's because for some inexplicable reason we decided to become a throwing team, which makes less sense when you consider the money invested in the offensive line to be able to aid the run.

Funny how after every win or good game by someone, especially in the playoffs. Fans want to whine about our players vs. their players, even though many times our players are equal or better than their players.

Well, except on defense they are better than our players. and better coached all around teams.

he had about 100 yards against Miami before the first half was even over.

He had five over 100 yard games in the first 8 games. In the last 8, he had two.

It has nothing to do with being ‘fat’. They decided mid-way through the season this was a ‘passing offense’ per the analysts and they even quoted Witten saying it was a down field offense from now on, around mid-way mark. I forget the exact game but that was the talk of the town and we proceeded to look like trash.

This, even fat if you call it that the guy ran for almost 1400 yards and that is with this team not even running him after halftime because they were down by 3 points and all of a sudden trying to turn Dak into Dan Marino.

Zeke was sluggish early in the season and was tapping out more than usual.

We could have done the same and the game was nasty weather that was set to do just that. And Elliot was moving the ball 4.1 yards per rush but yet we quit doing it. He needed another 10 touches in that game and would have made a difference.

People forget how massive Henry is too. He's 6-3"

The running game today has to be used differently. The way the Titans won is not going to happen that often. Those day are gone along with the 70s. An elite RB is a luxury, not a necessity. The passing game still has to be there.

Something Bud Grant said after the loss to the Chiefs in SB IV. I'm paraphrasing. Once the Chiefs got up by a significant amount, we didn't have the passing game to come back. We were used to beating teams up defensively, running the ball with a limited pass attack. We were rarely in the position to have to come back.

That kind of game no longer exists. And although the Titans don't have a limited passing game, they managed to win that way against the Patriots, to some degree.

The Cowboys still have to make the passing game a priority, regardless of Zeke.

The Cowboys passed the ball so much because the defense kept putting them in early holes, which wouldn't have mattered anyway if they actually scored TDs against good teams.
