I've been up all night, can't sleep cause of the butterflies in my stomach. Got to go all the way back to the 90s to find a time i was so pumped up for a game i didn't have this feeling before the Carolina game in 03, the Seattle game in 06 or the Giants game in 07, this time it just feels different, it's a feeling i haven't had since the 90s :

Kick off is at 2am my time i got to find a way to get some sleep or it's gonna be a looooooong day

I have that same feeling. I know this will sound corny, but I almost think my sentiments from 2007 vs. this season reflect the players' sentiments -- or at least how I perceived them. In 2007, I felt somewhat entitled to a nice run. It had been a while since we were successful and we were on a roll to start the year, and I ignored the way we cooled off, hoping we could just turn it back on. We had the starpower that year -- from T.O. to Tank to Tony, and I was ready to roll.

Then, thud. It was over.

Compare that to watching this current team diligently work its way to where it is today, I feel like we've "earned" this year's success much more. Nothing was given. There was no "surprising" people. We're not a team of entitled divas. This team is worth rallying around. Just look at all the "Believe!!" stuff around this site. You'd have never seen something like that in 2007.

I have no idea what happens tomorrow, but it feels like this team truly deserves a victory, ya know? It feels like we have earned this opportunity, as opposed to just being entitled to it.
