Nothing wrong with signing low cost veterans

Nothing wrong at all.

In fact, very useful.

What type of impression would a team create for their rookies if they just strutted in and were handed a place on the roster? How much would that motivate them to improve and compete to their fullest ability?

Get the rookies into camp and introduce them to the veterans that will play their position if they don't impress enough.

I guarantee that you will then see a different level of motivation than you would without these low-cost veteran free agents.

And who really knows? That veteran, who probably feels somewhat disrespected at this point, may just develop a new competitive drive that leads to an unexpected breakout. It has happened.
Not to mention, injuries happen. Like x said, sometimes players just need a change in scenery.

And yet even Sirriani would take Mahomnes over Hurts if he could. Any coach would.
Sirianni doesn’t let not having Mahomes deter him. His teams can match Mahomes’ teams. 31 teams have to figure out how to win a Super Bowl without Patrick Mahomes on the roster. Why can’t the Cowboys?

Cowboys' offensive line disrespect doesn't really make sense

The talk about who the Dallas Cowboys will select in the 2025 NFL Draft has been discussed so much that even I am counting down the days until the draft.

Will they take a receiver, or will they take a running back with their first-round pick? Soon, we can fire that question into the sun because we will have our answer.

However, there is one position group the Cowboys may be less worried about than people think. The offensive line may not have had the start to the 2024 season that most had hoped for. However, by the time the season ended, the unit was one of the strongest in the league.

so football is the qb vs the qb and that is all?

You need low cost veterans when you are paying top money to three different positions that also are the highest paid positions in the nfl

makes it hard to pay for anything else

Hurts is mediocre. Current dak is a step below. Hurts is basically 2016-2018 dak. Daks lack of mobility makes him a joke

No one is slobbing on Hurts, merely pointing out the idiocy of calling a super bowl champion mediocre while our guy hasn't been able to get out of the wildcard round in 9 seasons.
Who cares? If someone said Barkley was the worst running back in the league I could care less. It’s Eagles fans job to defend their players not Cowboy fans.

You guys have lost your fandom thanks to Jerry.
