It starts Tuesday (though teams don't have to wait) with the cutdown to 75. We currently stand at 83 players out of a maximum of 90 available to us.

Thursday we play our final pre-season game at Miami.

Then Saturday the 3rd we cutdown to 53.

Get your scalpels ready all you surgeons. Your cuts and predictions of cuts are about to be more relevant than ever.

I'm shocked I'm saying this but Jessie Holley has to make my final 53. He's pulling a Jason Hatcher on offense and playing like he's never played before.

Killer Kowalski just might make the club. Pretty nice performance last night considering the circumstances.

I have to believe this team will be active on the cut wire looking for some help at DE and in the secondary. Possibly connected to the Gurode's contract concerns. They want more cap flexibility to do some things, and we might see a surprise cut somewhere else in that same vein.

I think you might be right, but we should also be prepared for this not to happen. They seem confident even if we aren't.

I think Buehler will be cut in favor of Bailey.

My reasoning? If you feel you need Beuhler later in the season, he'll likely still be on the street. Bailey probably won't be.

Rbs show a malaise, we are keeping Felix Jones and DeMarco Murray for certain.. it looks like L.Miller is the odd man out rightnow.

Is the 3rd RB Choice or Tanner because Dallas will only keep 3 RBs.

If traded Choice should land a decent draft pick.

I'd keep Choice.

I think that will be one of those "all night" decisions, whether or not to keep a 4th RB. I don't like the idea of trading Choice, because if something happens to Felix, you're looking at very little experience behind him.

If they are willing to part ways with Gurode, with the offensive line in such disarray. Is anyone safe. Jerry didnt excactly give Choice a ringing endorsement. You would think Holland is gone. If Gurode can go would it be fair for them to keep Olshansky. We just might become one of the younger teams around.

You can't be so timid with youngsters anymore in this day and age of quick FA.

Choice is a 1-year rental for us as there is no way he is on this roster next year. We need to look to the future and Tanner is going to be a capable RB for us for the next 4 years and the gap between him and Choice is very small. There is no point in keeping Choice this year. I say trade him to the highest bidder. I would like a 5th rounder but would settle for anything.

There is no way I would chance putting Tanner on the PS. There is too much game tape showing how effective a runner he has been in the preseason for him to make it there.

With the Gurode deal, it appears that a change in philosophy is upon this organization, (again). It seems that they want to get rid of older vets who are no longer earning their contract. So you have to assume that the 30+ year old are in danger of being cut. Newman and Igor come to mind. I also think that Ball should be let go, and keep the young guys, and let them sink or swim this year.

Along with the apparent change in philosophy, they should start drafting players that can play football. Enough with drafting athletes and injured players who can't help immediately. No more drafting for special teams, or over drafting.

As much as I like the discovery of Romo, Austin and other UDFA's, it has also been a curse in the drafting philosophy of this team. It seems that they take chances on drafting athletes and injured players, with the thought that they are great at discovering UDFA's, that if the athletes and injured players don't pan out, they will discover UDFA's to make up for it.

You don't build your team with UDFA's.

Ratliff needs to go to DE, he just isn't the same NT he was two years ago.
If Brent isn't the guy then I can understand why we have to keep Ratliff there.
Next year are some pretty good 3-4 DL available in FA but who cares about next off season right now.

You're being a "prisoner of the moment" by saying that jesse holley should make thos roster. The guy caught 3 passes, 3 passes that he should have caught and all of a sudden he's deserving of a roster spot? Lets just wait until this final preseason game before we say who should and who shouldn't make this roster.

He's played well at WR all preseason. Much better than I would have thought possible. Combine that his special teams work and he's a near lock to make the final 53.

Just an opinion, but I think Holley and Johnson have been showcased the last 2 weeks. Kind of a thank you, and now you have some tape for other teams to look at. Maybe someone else will pick you up.

They would sacrifice valuable preseason reps to showcase guys they intend to release?

You're overthinking the situation.
