I do not see them starting 2 rookies at corner.

Scandrick, Lewis and Brown will be the 3 IMO.
Why? Dallas has had two hacks starting at those positions for years. At least Lewis, Brown and Chido want to tackle and don't tear an ovary doing so.

Because they won't.

It'll be Brown, Scandrick and probably Lewis. With Chido & Woods playing some snaps at safety.

And I do not have a problem with that.

I'd move Heath,Frazier and Woods to man the Safety positions...I would prefer to see Heath as FS and Woods or Frazier man the Strong safety side.

Move Jones to corner and if he can't do that ...move him to the bench.

He was drafted solely because of his combine results.

At this point, the best move for the Cowboys may be to go all in on the young talent. Make the starting nickel (the real base defense in the pass-centric NFL) Awuzie, Lewis, Woods, Byron Jones, and Anthony Brown. Let them learn together as a unit and hope they can continue what has been a good start. Based on what we have seen from the rookies, that may become one of the better secondaries in the league. Scandrick, Jeff Heath, and Kavon Frazier should be relegated to backup and/or special teams duties, which frankly is what their play has earned them so far this season.

With two weeks of practices and SF on horizon, I would make these changes going forward. Again, we are talking about Defense that needs to be protected so I am not concerned with ruffling any feathers.

1. Woods at least split snaps with Heath. Ideally he would replace Heath but I see Dallas being conservative here because they like Heath.
2. Move Anthony Brown to slot. He just looks natural, fluid and aggressive at that position. Not that he has been horrible at CB, I just think his quickness is on display in slot.
3. Jourdan Lewis stays starting CB.
4. Move Byron Jones to other starting CB spot. Now have Brown, Lewis & Jones as CBs. I like that alot.
5. Awuzie is safety starter next to Woods/Heath.
6. Still not sure what to do with Scandrick. Has lost quickness and seems content to just tackle WR after catch and no longer competes for the ball. Maybe he is extra DB in dime situations.
7. Nolan Carroll is my inactive DB each week unless there is injury.

Dallas has nothing to lose by trying this. Defense has been achilles for years.

These moves never seem to happen. No way this staff tries any of it. Woods snaps even went down last game. They love Heath even though he was in no mans land on the game winning catch—among other things.
