The week after the Championship games ... basically nothing... its all flat-lined. Team is working, doing their thing... an injury report or two might pop up, no big deal ...

The Week Of the Super Bowl ... things tend to ratchet up for me ... nerves start to creep in... start to get nervous, waiting ... interminable waiting ... and during that waiting period you start thinking what is gonna happen ... How are we gonna stop X ... How are we going to avoid Y...

the pressure builds and builds from this point on-wards...

anyone else get "nerves" leading up to the big game?

*Raise hand*. I expect another heart attack Sunday. Not sure how many more of these I can take. All I know is I'm losing hair every time I shower. Definitely drink this time since it reduce stress.

With that said, you are a Patriots fan, do you Pat fans get nervous? I'm a nervous wreck. If Goff win, his legacy change. If Brady win (tons of respect for him), more hair will probably fall out though. You guys are in the SB every year it seem and every single game with you guys are 6 points or less. That is so stress inducing. Probably going to need 5 or 6 shot of Whiskey to deal with the game.

I hardly drink anymore...

I cant speak for other Patriot fans, but I do get nervous... 1 time or 9 times, even after going to three Super Bowls ... its still nerve wracking... but's its more nerve wracking to watch it at home... being at the Super Bowl - the week leading up to the game is full of distractions so it doesn't set in until you get to the game... but now, nothing to do but think about match-ups...

as for Goff, he's too young, too new, to have a "legacy" ... Legacies are built over time, least to my way of thinking... ymmv

Gonna be a tough game.

Wasn't Brady only slightly older than Goff when he won his first SB?

No. It's been 23 years. I'll watch the game but I don't care who wins. Now the only thing that builds up before and during the game is my alcohol blood content.

Hey guys. Just enjoy the experience. I remember them even though it seems like a lifetime ago. Nothing in sports really like it.

The closest I get is the playoffs. I can't wait for that steady build up of excitement that comes from advancing each week. Believe me sitting on the edge of your seat beats the heck out of heading to the exit door.

Enjoy!
