so I shouldn't go out a buy myself a dak jersey. lol.....

you guys will be back on the dak train after he beats some team. I can hear it now, super bowl, stats stats and more stats. Top 5 and better than every quarterback present or past.

Mark it down. It will happen.
You should buy yourself a Dak thong.... You and A/C will be matchy matchies romping around in your Dakkie thongs

My interest and excitement for this team is waning. Dak isn’t the answer and the jones’ don’t seem to care
Have to hit him in the pocket books to get him to change for a few seasons.

With that said, watching this team doesn't bring me joy. Even beating the Patriots 38-10 wasn't all that fun.

I think it just might be time to say goodbye for a little while.

I told y'all after the AZ loss that we aren't going anywhere this season without winning the division...and that is 100% not happening now. NO WAY IN HELL can Dak win three (3) straight playoff games....especially with at least two (2) of those games on the road. That being said, time to pray for the greater good....more embarrassing losses in order to 100% assure the exit of both Dak and MM. And while we are at it, I would be 100% in on trading both Lamb and Parsons....we need picks....not salary cap killers who both can easily be schemed against. BTW, this is LAZY offense masquerading as a balanced offense.
If we lose to the chargers next week, it will be the beginning of the end for many things.

Your opinion lol. Well you are stating your opinion as facts for what I said. Where did I say I like sticking with Garrett or Dak? Oh that's right, NOWHERE. My point is while there are still 12 games left where a lot of things can happen, I'm not about to sit up here and quit on this season because of what happened last night and tank. That is absolute loser mentality. So while you don't want Garrett's and Dak's of the world, your mentality fits right in and is no better than with the mentality of 'sticking with coaches like Garrett or Qbs like Dak' by tanking.
Here is my opinion more simply.
I would rather go through a year of losing to gain big picture improvement.
Kinda like 1989 or 2015 ya know?

Sticking with the likes of Garrett and Dak are examples I used for the "just standing pat" Jerry comfort zone of mediocrity and so called relevance crowd.

If you don't wanna sit through one bad year because you're scared of possible failure in not drafting a successful high rd pick QB then that's your opinion.

Mine is to move on and draft a high 1st rd QB pick ASAP.. If that means we gotta lose for one year to accomplish that so be it.

No risk, no reward.

2015? That didn't benefit us.

Made us go super stupid.

Yeah maybe that 2016 year and Zeke's 1st 3 years while also netting Brown in the 6th was not such a beneficial long term success as I had wanted either but it was decent return on short term investment.
BUT...
Once the second contract ink dried on both Zeke and Dak, you're absolutely right.
Hindsight is 20/20.

Yeah I will never understand being a fan of a team and hoping that they lose. Hoping that we lose so then what we can be the Bears, Commanders, Giants, Panthers, etc. Stuck in suck forever land. No thanks
Then you fail to see things like the meta game.

To simplify it - would you be willing to win 3 games or less in a season if it meant that you were going to win a couple of Super Bowls within 5 years?

That is exactly what Jimmy Johnson did. We have a Cowboys historical example.

Jimmy walked into the job with the #1 pick in hand a a future HOF QB waiting to be drafted.

Jimmy benefitted from joining a team that was already pathetic.

But that's not guaranteed improvement. I mean I know those happened but we got really lucky in getting Dak if you want to call it that and you see how that has turned out for us anyway.

You can still rebuild and not completely tank. Chiefs, Eagles, Niners, or Rams have done in recent years. I don't want to go all the way to the bottom and get stuck there like Bears, Giants, Commanders, Raiders, Patriots, Jets, Broncos and some of these other teams that are going to continue to struggle

This is not 1989 man. Get that through your head. You can't do a rebuild like that. No one has the patience first of all for that and you have to get extremely lucky. That doesn't work nowadays. See my post above for the examples that thought tanking would work and didn't.

If the Cowboys are going to start becoming subject of my prayers it would look like this:
1. Hire Jimmy Johnson as a personnel consultant.
2. Goal #1 is the 1st or 2nd pick in the 2024 draft.
3. 2023 becomes an audition for the guys who don't get traded. Tanking is not the strategy. Play your butt off to stay in Dallas or sit is the reality.
3. Start grouping assets for trade value and don't be afraid to move superstars. Four first round picks may be needed.
4. Build from the trenches after getting that blue chip QB. Should still have some good talent on the roster after trading for those picks.
5. Jimmy determines the future of the coaching staff.

Nothing in life is guaranteed but death, taxes and a Dak playoff game choke job.
This 8 year experiment at QB has run its course.
Draft, FA or trade I don't care.
Real change is needed at QB.

Yes, the greater good for the franchise is we bottom out. There has to be no doubt Dak is not the answer. We need more losses and more interceptions. We need Dak out of here. I also agree with trading Lamb. He’s not worth 25-27 million he’s going to ask for. I say trade Lamb for picks and use those picks for offensive and defensive lineman and roll with Lance for a season. If he sucks, then don’t resign him and go with a rookie.

Lance, Rush or a rookie can do what Dak is doing for 1/40 the cost.

I blame Jerry for not realizing his way is not working and hiring a real GM.
We have wasted 28 years of this Franchise.
It's was just totally unnecessary, and a waste of several HOFs careers.
He's the real culprit. If we had the #1 draft pick I still would be worried that we'd blow it. And if we got a great QB would he be wasted here? Need more than just a QB and Jerry doesn't know how to build teams. But then again we have run out of options and something's got to change.

With losses to either the Chargers or Rams, the wheels might just come off.
With Micah criticizing coaches and teammates, the wheels may be already off. I do think we lose to the Chargers. Then things really get bad. I think last night was one of my lowest points as a fan. Growing up in the 70’s-now the 49ers have been my most hated team. I’m ready for a complete overhaul of the team. Blow it up. After last night I’d rather lose every game if it means finding out who are franchise players and who are country club Cowboys. I’d be cool starting next season with: Diggs, Bland, Micah, Martin, BDZ, Tyler Smith. That’s the core people I feel are keepers, the rest trade or cut and fill in the blanks. Obviously turn the QB keys over to Trey and see what he can do.
