Now that 2016 draft is over here is my hope for 2017

CJ Beathard...currently CBS Sports 2nd ranked QB of the 2017 draft. I'm obviously biased because I'm an Iowa Hawkeye fan. The highlights don't show it but I don't remember a college QB ever making as many line calls as Beathard...reminds me of Romo at the LOS and getting nervous that the clock will run out.

Any footage of him staying home and taking a hit in order to make a completion?

Seemed to have good protection on most plays. But seemed to take it down and run or throw early when pressurised. Can he slide and stay in the pocket?

He took a lot of hits that the highlights don't show. He strained a groin in week 3 and played with it all year. He took a huge shot early in the Rose Bowl and looked like he was probably concussed for most of the game.

He is also the grandson of Bobby Beathard..

Beathard is only ranked #2 because the group of senior to be QBs is pretty weak. His draft position will depend on what true underclassmen announce - Watson from Clemson, Kizer from Notre Dame, etc.

I'm up for that. I would finish off our needs next year with 2 corners and a WR. I'm hoping our defensive line will finally be solid after the improvement's to the interior and adding Tapper on the edge.

We'll see..he's football smart, has good arm strength, and is mobile...doesn't really have proven receivers to throw to though.

Every scouting guide for 2017 that includes underclassmen doesn't have him in the Top 10 QBs.

He's likely a Dak Prescott type. Mid round pick.

That's fair...we'll see how the season plays out.

The most likely way to get Rosen is for Romo to not be healthy in 2017.

either that or continue the trend the Deadskins, Rams and Sheagles set....Rosen is supposedly the next Andrew Luck like cant miss prospect at QB...so who knows...

Kaaya of Miami and Kelly from Ole Miss are pretty good too. It'll be interesting how it shakes out next year, but I hope we can get our future franchise QB before Romo is done.

Him and Kelly are 1, 1A for me. Although I like Kelly more then most.

Watson is better than Cam imo especially at passing and as a runner, Watson smooth in passing and running to me and accurate which is a big thing for me

I dont like to make those statements until they are in the pro game. I do think he is better then Cam coming out, although Cam did surprise alot of people with how well he played early
