Now that Lost is over the best show on TV is...

Well I've neve seen an episode myself, but I find it quite amusing that people have been watching that show for 6 seasons and STILL don't know what the hell is going on.

This is true to an extent and why I stopped watching. I watched the first few seasons religiously from day one, but got sick and tired of all the unanswered questions. You get caught up in the story and trying to figure out why their are Polar Bears on the island etc, then they just totally switch directions with the plot and never go into details on those things. 6 years later and they never answered a lot of those questions.

Sorry, but Lost really isn't confusing. Sure, they sort of left some quirky island stuff unanswered along the way, but the big stuff? Answered. The stuff that actually mattered to the story? Answered.

I don't believe the Lost writers knew what they were doing at all. They just had all this stuff they'd spewed out quasi-randomly, and at some point they had to try and tie it all together. They didn't, nor did they do a good job in the attempt.

I certainly do not take at face value their assertions that they had a plan all along. Pro Forma response, what else could they say?

Enjoying something, and that something being well made, are two different things.

LOST ended just as well as any other show with an overarching storyline, including Battlestar Galactica.

Lost = Heroes

Both bad, horrible even, but addicting if you've watched it from the get go.

As for shows like Chuck, no show that focuses on that much humor can ever be even close to being considered the "Best", as hilarious as they might be.

Fringe.. simply Xfiles 2.0, only slightly better.

If you're over 50 and have no taste, maybe. Unfortunately, there are so many people in this category that watch TV, we get crap like this and 20 different CSI shows.

The exact opposite demographic for Chuck and Fringe, good call.

There is no one best show because everyone has different tastes. Geez some people will argue with a brick wall.

I'll give it to Breaking Bad right now, love that show. I still need to watch the last season of Dexter.

I haven't seen Chuck, so no comment on that but Fringe is HIGHLY overrated. I watch it regularly, because I love Sci-Fi and there aren't many good Sci-Fi shows now that Battlestar is off the air, but it hasn't even come close to capturing me the way BSG did.

If that brick wall had not given me that look then I would have no problem.

I hope they are able to make another season of Spartacus: Blood and Sand since the lead actor came down with cancer. Well, I hope he gets better and is able to continue the series.

I feel the same way about Fringe. By the end of BSG I was ready for it to end. I didn't really care for the direction they took the Balter character.

Im not saying it was confusing, I am saying it was annoying as hell that they kept introducing stuff into the plot as they great mysteries and then just pretended they didnt exist as they took the show in a different direction. For a show that was about a lot of details, they sure left a lot of them out.

Like stated above, I dont think they had a clue where this thing was going after the first season and it showed the longer it went on. I can see where some didnt care about mysteries never being explained but for me personally it was annoying enough that I just stopped watching it.

So...any sci-fi Doctor Who geeks in the house.:D

Supernatural is the best show. It was supposed to end this season as well, but they have decided to give it one more year. They will be missing their creator and writer(one of) Eric Kripke, so it may not be as good next season.

I personally like cinder block. Brick sucks. How you gonna say Brick is better then Cinder Block?

Well I guess it is an accuracy vs maximum damage argument.

I mean you can be more accurate throwing a brick and throw it further as well but if you want maximum damage you would go with the cinder block. So it depends on what you want.

:p:
