I don't see the big deal. They paid the most money, os they get to sponsor it. I'm just glad it wasn't Kotex.

This might blow some people's minds

Yes, it's a Prius with an NRA sticker...for improved aerodynamics and fuel-economy the gun rack is inside. :D

Good for the NRA. Poke your thumb right in the media's eye.

........and they won't let the winner shoot the six-shooters, as was the tradition.

Who usually sponsor's these races?

One of the beer companies? I honestly don't know. It's hard to tell which sponsor is actually putting on the show and which one has found a way to players it's logos all over just about every other place in the picture.

Guns, Racing, Beer, and Rednecks.........welcome to Texas yall......pull up a chair, throw some bones (dominoes for those of you who don't know what bones are)......

btw, I dont drink alcoholic drinks....I dont own a gun....and I am not a redneck, though I do sunburn quite easily. I do however, enjoy me some NASCAR, go 88.

God Bless Texas:D

All kinds of different companies. Whoever wants to pay the money.

I think NASCAR wont allow a liquor company to be a sponsor. And no rival cell phone companies of Sprint will be sponsors. Other than that pretty much whoever has the money.

This was a pretty safe sponsership by the NRA. If there is any backlash against the NRA in Texas it would be very small. However; can you imagine the uproar if the NRA wanted to sponser a NASCAR race in MI, NY, IL, or similiar places? It would never happen.

Im sure Ted Nugent wouldnt mind them sponsoring a race at MIS.

Last time I checked the 2nd amendment, it was still ok to bear arms to protect yourself and your property... so why should there be an issue about the NRA sponsoring an event.. The NRA does not advocate violence...
