NT, T, Slot Corner, RB

Don’t need anymore RB please Signed 2 Drafted 2 !
Williams has been a shell of his former self post injury, Sanders rarely saw the field on a terrible team, like Blue but he isn't a full time back. Muf is a late rd flier who has to earn his roster spot. Way too many questions!

ok, we are trying to see what Williams and Sanders have left in the tank. drafted two RBs and you want to throw another RB in the mix, just to see if he has anything left in the tank or trade for a RB? none of whom make you go wow...

enough resources have been thrown at RB. neither Chubb or Hall are the answer. chubb has been injured past two years and is getting long in the tooth for a RB. Hall would be another player on a one year contract. to what end? he is not a difference maker. so we keep trading picks for players with one year left on their contracts......

enough is enough at RB.

we need a NT, at this point, it has to be a trade. nothing left in FA. I wish we would have traded for a NT/DT than Pickens.

you forgot about LB. its a huge question mark...overshown injured...yet again. James is a Rookie and unknown. the rest are nothing but JAGs.

and needing a veteran LT, to allow the first round pick to learn....tells me we made mistake drafting him.
-Guyton was a raw prospect where many said needed a year or two to develop. Last yr they just threw him in the fire, when he wasn't ready. Nothing wrong with having a bridge starter in case he struggles or isn't ready. Mazi had that with Hankins, now it's his third year he should be ready to become a solid starter. There were signs last yr, but still inconsistent at times. Depth behind him is very green, have to add more experience.

-They brought in 3 linebackers this offseason. Everyone, including myself didn't like that 5th rd pick, but we all said the same thing when they drafted Hitchens where Eberflus was the LB coach. You still have Marist developing and hopefully down the line you get Overshown back, but that isn't a guarantee.

-Running the football will help the defense, which is why it is very important to have a quality, lead back.

Agree about Tyler could always move, but why not add a veteran NT, all they have is a bunch of kids, most of them are green.

I don't think they are going to throw Revel right into the fire, remember he is just a rookie coming off of major injury.
I expect Diggs, Bland, and Revel to be our top 3 cornerbacks by November. I don’t see a better top 3 in the league especially with our pass rush.

There's always going to be a position in need. I agree with the philosophy that talent acquisition is a 24/7, all year long endeavor. But I'm pretty happy with the front office's proactive approach this offseason. They need to keep it up. What the defense really needs is veteran leaders.

-RB-if they use a similar rotation as Zeke/Pollard, who becomes our lead back? Not in love with either Williams/Sanders and the jury is out on our back from Clemson. Why not see what Chubb has left in the tank or revisit the Hall trade from the Jets.
Williams likely starts. No to Chubb. Hall if no one shows anything which someone will.

I think you are being too opportunistic about Revel. Rookie corners usually aren't day 1 starters and are eased into the lineup. Add in his injury, they may slow play him early on.

Mazi isn't the answer, he's just a body. They need a an upgrade at the position.

RB I think they believe they are set with Williams likely starting, the rest fighting for roster spots. Now if something happens in camp, injury, or williams legs just fall off they may look to who is still available.
They aren't going to give up on a 1st rd rd that quickly. Landry had the 3 yr rule, Mazi is entering his 3rd season.

-both NT/LT have former 1st rd picks still in developmental stage. Makes a ton of sense to add a veteran to help them along, add depth and act as insurance if they struggle. Don't need high priced fa's but ones who have former starting experience.

-Eberflus uses his nickel corner differently then how we used Lewis in the pass. Expected to be a factor in the run game and plays more zone coverage underneath. They could use more of a long, safety here than a traditional slot player.

Because Chubb will again be great in a season that we could have signed him just like a King Henry. Chubb will put up great numbers, we will sit back and watch his greatness come back

ok, so we drafted guyton, coming off of a playoff game, and expecting what? for it to work out for a guy who wasn't ready. then perhaps sign a veteran LT for a year, let guyton learn. but it sounds like we sacrificed a season...however, sacrifice is discovered after the fact because before the season started, the talk was about advancing in playoffs....

and I am not ready to annoint Guyton, who struggled last year. he better improve leaps and bounds...else its another failed draft pick in the first round.

they brought three jag LBs this off season, some of them on one year contract. essentially throwing people at the problem hoping one sticks.

the defense has to get better at stopping the run. if we can't. we will not be able to make stops. get off the field and it becomes a high scoring affair and that never leads to anything good.

Breece Hall would solve lots of our problems. I just don’t know if we have the draft capital to get him now. Would the Jets take a 4th round pick for him.

The Cowboys have brought in a million guards. If Guyton can’t cut it, Tyler is going to left tackle. They won’t screw around with this like last year with running back.

I think the nickel plan is to put Bland there if Revel can play early. I think they will put Elam at the other boundary corner until Diggs returns.

We gonna have to hope Mazi takes a massive step up and JT can play early at 1 tech. There is no one out there at the moment that can save the day.
Can't rule out Caelen Carson at either the outside or the slot.

Obviously I'm not expecting much from a May FA signing, but if camp kicks off and they need another 1 tech/2gap DT then Raekwon Davis might not be a bad cheap signing to bring in a vet that at least can plug the line.

He was a disappointment in Indy, but if his role is to eat blocks to let the LBs make plays, he's not the worst guy to bring in when the roster is at 80.
Roster is at 90 these days and they get an extra one because of Denzel Daxon being counted as an internation player.

He would be a good rotational player in a DLaw mode........check out what Sims says about him.

The Cowboys are about six deep at DE currently. Don't see them interested in the guy. He's going to want $10 million like he had with the panthers. Which isn't outrageous but still more than the Cowboys are paying.

Dang it seems longer to me. Well hope he breaks out this year. I don't think they did him any favors honestly and not sure the new scheme will be a better fit either. But we shall see.

I don't see them making any moves to the RB group until late in camp and then only IF it's clear that one or more of the current group aren't up to the task. Perhaps pick up a late camp cut to replace whoever is on bottom of the totem pole.
I think we end up either what we have. In the end, one of the vets and both rookies. But camp will shake it all out. I agree they aren’t in a hurry to add another guy in the mix till someone struggled

Yep I would agree that those 4 positions I would like to see an upgrade as well.
And I'm still iffy on Liuafu or Shemar James being tried at MLB or the other 2 jag FA acquisitions. And then the uncertainty of Overshown.
So I'd like a more established prototype MLB in the middle.
That's supposed to be Eberflus's coaching strong suit so I hope there's a valid plan.
