NT, T, Slot Corner, RB

I think you are being too opportunistic about Revel. Rookie corners usually aren't day 1 starters and are eased into the lineup. Add in his injury, they may slow play him early on.
I am but I also know that Bland and Diggs where once All Pros and they are still in their 20s. So much talent and so much to prove. Revel is grown man he is 24. I believe in him. Especially by November.

I don't see them making any moves to the RB group until late in camp and then only IF it's clear that one or more of the current group aren't up to the task. Perhaps pick up a late camp cut to replace whoever is on bottom of the totem pole.
That's how I see it. Chubb is a guy to keep an eye on in general. Probably signs with a team after week 1, Id sure be willing to take a swing at it then.

I can see Guyton as the most likely.

I love Carsons abilities but his transition frome the ACC to the NFL has been spotty at best

Mazi?.......this is his last chance with yet another DC
I think Carson just needs time. Injury set him back, but he has the talent.

The Cowboys REALLY loved him. They thought all he needed was some time. Unfortunately as you said, he got hurt. Get him healthy and get him some experience and he could be a solid backup at worst.

Because Chubb will again be great in a season that we could have signed him just like a King Henry. Chubb will put up great numbers, we will sit back and watch his greatness come back
Henry and Chubb are not an apple to apples comparison, Chubb was a shell of himself post injury, where Henry was a high level option. Browns decided against keeping him and draft 2 high backs which suggests Chubb could be done.

ok, so we drafted guyton, coming off of a playoff game, and expecting what? for it to work out for a guy who wasn't ready. then perhaps sign a veteran LT for a year, let guyton learn. but it sounds like we sacrificed a season...however, sacrifice is discovered after the fact because before the season started, the talk was about advancing in playoffs....

and I am not ready to annoint Guyton, who struggled last year. he better improve leaps and bounds...else its another failed draft pick in the first round.

they brought three jag LBs this off season, some of them on one year contract. essentially throwing people at the problem hoping one sticks.

the defense has to get better at stopping the run. if we can't. we will not be able to make stops. get off the field and it becomes a high scoring affair and that never leads to anything good.
MM did want to play Edoka, wonder if Guyton starting was made from above.

I don't disagree with you regarding their run defense. I would of done a complete overhaul, but they made the Eberflus hire who runs a similar defense to what we have been playing here. He has had success stopping the run in other stops, got to see what he can do before making mass changes. Also, our backers played the best under Eberflus in the past, players like Hitchens who was going to be undrafted earned a hefty 2nd contract.

-both NT/LT have former 1st rd picks still in developmental stage. Makes a ton of sense to add a veteran to help them along, add depth and act as insurance if they struggle. Don't need high priced fa's but ones who have former starting experience.

-Eberflus uses his nickel corner differently then how we used Lewis in the pass. Expected to be a factor in the run game and plays more zone coverage underneath. They could use more of a long, safety here than a traditional slot player.

-RB-if they use a similar rotation as Zeke/Pollard, who becomes our lead back? Not in love with either Williams/Sanders and the jury is out on our back from Clemson. Why not see what Chubb has left in the tank or revisit the Hall trade from the Jets.
I don't believe running back is an isolated position. Consider the offensive line to be part of that equation. At this point everything about the 2025 Dallas Cowboys is predicated on what if.

But if the OL shows up and moves people, there are some in the list of RB's that are currently on this team who could produce. Pro bowl level? That might be doubtful at this moment, but it is all to be continued at this point.

Dang it seems longer to me. Well hope he breaks out this year. I don't think they did him any favors honestly and not sure the new scheme will be a better fit either. But we shall see.
He was playing better last yr, so there is some hope. Also, he missed the offseason last yr coming back from injury.

Yep I would agree that those 4 positions I would like to see an upgrade as well.
And I'm still iffy on Liuafu or Shemar James being tried at MLB or the other 2 jag FA acquisitions. And then the uncertainty of Overshown.
So I'd like a more established prototype MLB in the middle.
That's supposed to be Eberflus's coaching strong suit so I hope there's a valid plan.
The UCLA LB was my pet cat, reminded me of Sean Lee without the injuries, but he went atop of rd 2, after him big drop-off at the position.

Not against anything quality player. I'm not t hrough with Guyton and I know you didn't say that. NT we need that.A real need.

And he was helped immensely by having a big 341 pound NT named Toia.
are you sure he is going to help. he is a 7th round pick for a reason....and didn't we draft a big guy in the middle last year, named Rodgers. he wasn't even on the roster.

we could have thrown a 7th round WR at the WR2 problem and instead traded for DT or LB...but those jerseys don't sell as much

I still have hope for both Mazi, Guyton just would like to add veteran depth
mazi was hot garbage two years ago. changed to warm garbage last year. he is at best just garbage....he is going down the Charlton path and won't be with the cowboys after his contract runs out.

I just wrote a big run defense write-up, fixing the run defense is just about Mazi Smith. His play was better last season, just needs more consistency. Taco was immature and unwilling to work on his craft, at least Mazi is trying to get better.

He was actually my pet cat last year. CB is hard as hell to acclimate to as a rookie and 6th and 7th rounders all the more difficult
