THIS IS THE ONLY TIME WE WILL SEE AND LIVE THIS EVENT

Although if your young it won't work at all.

2008. Turns four this year. That'd be 12.

I guess it is anybody with a double digit age?

For me it worked out. 1986, turning 25. 86+25=111.

Well, the child will turn 11 this year if s/he was born in 2008 but still......

Think about it, every time July 1st lands on a Friday, July will have that configuration, and unless it is a leap year and skips a friday, at most, you'll wait about 11 or so years for it to happen again.

It's based on the first two digits of the year being 19. Of course when the last two digits start over at 00, then you're not going to get to 111. But if you consider the 2007 birthdate to be 107 over 1900, then it works.

Really though, I was more confused by your statement that a child born in 2008 would turn 4 this year.

It would be the case with any month with 31 days where the first lands on a Friday. It probably happens every other year or so. Unless it's strictly pointing out that it doesn't happen in the specific month of July that often.
