13----3
37---13

Last year DM had 13 rushing td's. And as we all know, left a lot of meat on the bone. It doesn't matter to
Me that DMC has 997 yards. 3 TD's is not good. He has less rushing TD's than Randle,Tthis is very telling.

Last year we had 37 TD passes between Romo and Weeden. This year we had 13. Still lead by Romo in just three games with 5.

Play calling could be to blame as well like last week for example those passes inside the 5, fade to Butler on 3rd down out of bounds inside of pounding it in there. We were getting a good push on every damn run we get in there and they want to get cute.

DMCs stats inside the goal line are naturally going to be worse. He's already facing stacked boxes outside the 20, but then when you compact the field even more at the goalline, its just 3 extra defenders within an even smaller area to defend. Combine that with no real red zone threat most of the year and horrible QB play. What exactly would you call if you were a DC going against the Cowboys this season?

I had no idea we scored less touchdowns this year it really felt like our offense was unstoppable! In all seriousness Mcfadden has nearly 200 less touches this season than Murray did last, of course hes going to score a whole lot less touchdowns. The passing production is the bigger drop off which we already know why there was.

I think you could take that a step further and say he's facing stacked boxes the entire length of the field -- not just inside the 20 -- due to the lack of competent QB play that you mentioned. McFadden being 5th in the league in rushing becomes even more impressive when you consider he was only playing one series per half for the first third of the season. If you project McFadden's performance over the 5 games he was playing second fiddle to Joseph Randle, then he'd be approaching a 1,400 yard season and would be threatening Adrian Peterson for the league rushing title.

One thing I would say for this is the oline hasn't run blocked near as good as it did last year.

Gosh I wonder if a +6 turnover differential as compared to a -18 turnover differential would have anything to do with scoring?
Filtering out turnover differential completely, here's our NFL rank in TD% on all drives that neither followed nor ended with a turnover.

2015
offense: 31st
defense: 16th

2014
offense: 1st
defense: 27th

Or perhaps, DM made them look better than they were.

Or perhaps a more balanced offensive attack makes everyone look better.

We are lucky to have any running game with the worst quarterback play in the NFL.

Agree, but again QB play was a total result of the scheme.

Yea he sure has made the Philly line look much better this year.. oh wait!! DM was, is and always will be an average back, nothing special about him. He benefited from having a good OL, a GREAT QB, and a top WR and TE and a contract that was due. We have seen what he can do without that, 3.5 yards per carry in Philly. Our running game has not been the issue this year at all.

So what you're saying is if we had this years defense last year, we probably would have hoisted our 6th Lombardi in SB49. :(

I hate the fade pass.
