WIth the whole CBA thing now up in the air, I was wondering about the real state of finances in the NFL. Now the TV contract shelled out $87 million in 2007. So how do various teams do as regards coming up with the other $29 million for the cap; and that does not include the money needed to run the front office, pay the coaches and scouts, upkeep on the stadium, etc.
Anyone know what the level of money coming in from the NFL brand clothing, etc? From what I have heard concession sales and ticket sales for most of the teams pay for the stadiums, but how much more? You figure 8 games at say 70,000 each plus 3 exh games at say 50,000 each for a full 710,000 attendance for a year. Now the question is how much do the tickets average out to be?
At best I figure a good team with good attendance is going to make about $25 million in gate receipts, but then you have to pay for all the salaries of those that work at the stadiums, maintenace, etc. I can begin to see where the small market guys might be in not so good shape.

Forbes has the revenue per team, I believe.
