yep, i had a bad feeling before the game. no way the skins should have let one of the worst D's in the league- so i thought (and still do) shut them out the second half. that was freadkin pathetic. i dont even know where to begin. but both the D and the O were not good the 2nd half.

back to the drawing board.

btw- i think the boys beat the bears tonight, hate to say it. :(

The Giants were adjusting to a new scheme-looks like they're finally clicking.

Dude-don't sweat it-it's a long season.

lol, terrible playcalling by the skins

Seems that dominating offensive line couldn't get the job done in the clutch...

Well, the Giants O is not that bad and they can score points on almost everyone, it depends on how Eli plays and they are actually playing without Jacobs on Rb... they do what they can there.

Is on D that they REALLY struggle and the skins should have won that game, scoring more than the Giants and how we did... but well, its a long season and I really think that the skins have a better team than the giants... eventually they will have a better record than the G-Men

On you last statement, I hope youre right on tonights match, but it will be tough.

There's this thing called depth, C... I know, it's an alien concept to you Skins fans, but you should look into it...

If you ever wanna see a group of them go apoplectic, drop those two little words on 'em...

You're right, of course, they're managing their cap BRILLIANTLY, yet they have nothing in the way of quality depth at way too many positions, most notably the offensive line...

But at this point, I have to say shame on all of you, for enjoying the misery of a bitter rival... only a small, petty, vindictive fan would take pleasure out of seeing the Skins lose in such a delicious fashion...

You know, like ME...

Jason Cambpell stats update:

84 attempts, 44 completions... 52.4 per cent completion rate... 621 gross yards passing, 596 net yards (5 sacks for -25 yards)... 7.4 yards per attempt... 2 TD passes, 3 ints... 14 carries, 80 yards...

69.6 quarterback rating...

Somewhere, Quincy Carter is snickering "hey, even I could do that"...

But to be fair, consider that the guy has run 103 pass plays, had to run 14 times, been sacked 5 times... he has not been getting what you'd call good pass protection...

And of course, that vaunted running game will take a nosedive in the statistical rankings after this week too... I said all along that their numbers in that area were inflated by Cambpell's frequent scrambles, and pointed out that their running backs were actually averaging a hair under 4 yards a carry... so the Skins' run blocking hasn't been all that, either...

Which may be why the Skins are averaging a robust 17.3 points per game...

i'll give you that last year, but this year? they lost jansen AND thomas. both outstanding players. nobody has enough depth to overcome that. funny enough, it didnt seem like that was the problem today.

just hideous on both sides of the ball in the second half.

and now, you're nicer than i would be. :)

dont get me wrong- i think the skins troubles today did not start at QB, even though he missed a pass or 2.

they got whipped by the gents in the trenches in the second half. Wasn't even close. I smell about 6 or 7 wins for the foreskins: tops.

The Boys have three promising young linemen waiting in the wings... lots of folks connected with the team think they'll let LT Flozell Adams hit the free agent highway this coming offseason, to be replaced by Pat McQuistan... Doug Free and James Marten have gotten rave reviews as rookies thus far...

I think the Boys could lose any two of their starting offensive linemen and not miss a beat, so long as one of them was not Andre Gurode (I'm not sold on our depth at center)...

I'd agree with that, Riggo, but his stats are built on three games play now, not just yesterday's... and his rating is under 70... he's not losing those games, but he's not winning them, either, like a Tony Romo has proven capable of doing...

I'm not sure there's an NFL team that can replace both guards and a RT with their depth and not struggle in areas. Unless you have Peyton Manning or Tom Brady behind center that is. That was still our game to win, besides the poor play from the O-Line. Had we won, would've been a nice confidence booster for Fabini, Wade and Heyer. But, we blew it, and a those guys need to play better or see the bench.

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it your starting Center Rabach who was drawing flags and missing blocks in the 2nd half?

Drawing flags at incredibly critical times. Seems to have a knack for that, he lost us 2 games in the past with false starts and holds on the last possession or even last play of a couple games.

Overall though, the right side was getting manhandled for the majority of the game.
